My 2005 Honda Accord needed a new timing chain. My mechanic tried to steer me towards a new engine altogether. Including a new clutch, new spark plugs, new O2 sensors it would have cost just shy of $5000. The car has 222,500 miles. When I asked if he could replace just the timing chain he said that it's not worth it because something else might soon go bad with the engine and he does not do that kind of work. A friend recommended The Auto Medic. I spoke with Morgan who specializes in rebuilding engines. He says he'd be glad to take a look and let me know. He came to my house in Overland Park, KS, picked up the car and took it to his shop in Wichita, KS (for free!). He checked it out and said he would be happy to replace the timing chain. He did so, and he also replaced one O2 sensor that had failed, the oil pan gasket that was seeping oil, the valve cover gasket, the battery, the water pump, and the air/fuel sensor. He also flushed the radiator and replenished it with fresh coolant. All this for $2,329! When I got my car back, it had been washed and polished on the outside, and vacuumed and cleaned on the inside. Morgan was courteous, available, helpful, competent, and performed an outstanding job. The car runs like new and Morgan encouraged me to keep it because it's in very good conditions. Morgan's shop is clean, tidy, and very well taken care of. Morgan Fuksa owns this company and he is dishonest and a thief. He told me the engine was being replaced but actually repaired it and let me believe it was replaced. He charged my credit card for an extended warranty with the company he purchased the engine-the company, LKQ HAS NO RECORD OF THE WARRANTY. Mr Fuksa will not explain why he lied and refuses to return my money for a bogus warranty. He is a crook read more
