It's an alright pub, it does the job…read more We ended up out in Ratoath for a funeral and the Ratoath Inn served soup, sandwiches, tea and coffee to the freezing masses who had attended. We had a decently laid out backroom and the service was excellent. After the food was finished we headed into the main lounge and I found it pleasant and typical of the area, so all in all it was nice. Ratoath Inn loses a few stars as 1) it's nothing super amazing and 2) the toilets off the function room weren't in great shape - then again, you don't plan the funeral afters very far in advance so they didn't have a lot of time to prepare and it was a Sunday so maybe the cleaning staff wasn't in. Food Service Nachos…read morethey put the mix in the plate and than heated on the microwave. Nachos takes 15 minutes to prepare and another 15 minutes to cook. The waitress was very unfriendly, I asked to the manager not be served by her but they didn't respect my request. She doesn't care about the customers. Chicken wings were more or less, also heated in the microwave. They need to improve the kitchen and the staff on the tables. The ambience is ok, for drinks and chatting. I don't advise to eat here a few things.

Literally old toilets sitting openly in the car park along with old dirty mattresses. Socket in room hanging out of wall. Toilets opposite bar where food is served absolutely disgusting. Just do not stay here plenty of other option nearby.
