I had a terrible experience with The Athlete's Foot during their Black Friday sale.
I ordered a pair of runners online and selected the Elizabeth Street store for pickup because the website indicated they had the item in stock.
However, when I called the store the next day to confirm, I was told they didn't have the stock and were unable to source it from another store even though other stores had the item I was after.
Instead, they said my only option was to cancel the order and wait 3-5 business days for a refund.
This is completely unacceptable. Surely they could have arranged for the stock to be transferred from another store or delivered to my address from a store that had them in stock.
Now, I have to reorder the shoes elsewhere, meaning I need to now spend double the money while waiting for my refund, which is a huge inconvenience.
This experience has left me frustrated and disappointed. It's hard to trust their website when it says items are in stock but clearly aren't. I will not be shopping at The Athlete's Foot again and cannot recommend them based on this poor customer service. read more
