wrongly labelled ASICS delivered. when I rang the store they quickly put me onto the manager who kept saying that's what I ordered. I said I have invoice of what I ordered which is clearly different. he was dismissive and said that if I didn't want them I can send them back( obviously at my expense) Rude and unhelpful. have bought from them in the past but I was a bit shocked by the attitude. I stumbled across this place in search of my beloved Asics trainers. The one a only trainer I will stick by like they have stuck by me until the day I die. I knew I would be hard pressed to find these trainers as they were a limited addition and they hit the stores over 6 months ago, but I enjoy a challenge. To make my search more of a mission my shoe size averages that of the general population in women's shoes, a size 7. Then there was Stringers Sports. Not only did they have my shoe but the biggest range of Asics shoes that I had ever come across in my life! When I walked into the store I was surrounded by boxes from floor to selling and then a man who looked like Charles Dickens's wearing a brown sweater and collared shirt pushing 80yrs popped out of nowhere. He could have possibly been standing behind the boxes, I'm not sure. Thankfully I knew what I was in search of as he didn't appear to know that much about this particular trainer with statements like "run much" & cardio's good for the heart" he also over charged me for the shoes. Nevertheless, I was just grateful he & the store existed. So if you're looking for a pair of Asics trainers that may be out of stock everywhere else in Australia there is a good chance Stringers Sports in Clayton will have what you are after. read more

There were a few bad reviews for Stringers Sports at the Truelocal site but I think they were submitted by jealous competitors. Despite my reservations after reading the reviews, I ordered a pair of Asics Gel Cumulus Men's Size 8 from Stringers as I was not able to find the model and size on other Australian online sports stores. Most overseas sites have stopped shipping Asics to Australia. The order was placed on 24/11/2014 and I received my brand new runners on 3/12/2014, taking into consideration I live in country WA. User friendly website, good variety and sizes, great prices and prompt delivery...and they even throw in a FREE pair of Asics socks with the shoes. Top online sports store! read more

Service is simply unacceptable. Advertise shoes that they DO NOT have in stock / cannot source (they have contacted me claiming that it is impossible to source my order yet I can still go on the site now and place the same order). Constellation prize was offering a different model at a price higher than what the model is sold for elsewhere. When the offer wasn't accepted customer service stopped responding yet have not removed the hold on my credit card for my order. read more
