The teachers were so good and helped our son mature so much in the year we were there. We moved to the area during the summer and they welcomed us in with open arms. They have so many activities and events for the kids/parents that it really enhanced his experience and ours. The better news is that he was so well prepared for Kindergarten. He is ahead of the rest of his classmates thanks to Dunwoody Prep. I will never forget our time at Dunwoody Prep, they were incredible.

The teachers are wonderful and do truly care about the children! The tadpoles app is great as you can receive pictures and updates on your child throughout the day. For what it's worth, I don't think the only non 5 star review is an accurate portrayal of the school. This sounds like a very rare case with missing details. As a very involved parent, I can confirm that their is open communication with the teachers and staff. More so than any other daycare.

My son flourished here under the supervision of wonderful teachers and owners, he graduated two years ago and they still love seeing him. My daughter still attends and will be graduating in the next 6 months. I think what I love most about this place is that it's not corporate and the attention from Alyssa, Jessica and Steve make it what it is today. They use the Tadpoles app to keep us up to date with our kids via pictures and notes along with daily reports. They are so awesome and accommodating. My son graduated and started school and the only bad thing was that he was so far advanced than any other kids in kindergarten, he got bored in school. Now he is in first grade and reads at a 4th grade level and top of the class...I know this is because of the Stepping Stones foundation he got. They have recently expanded and taking more students, if you are in the market for a new school; this is the only place to stop. You and your child will love the community they have created.

Not…read moreonly is the school more affordable than most early childcare providers (and certainly less costly than any other Montessori programs in the area which are known to be quite expensive), but the quality of education is top notch. Prior to enrolling here, our son attended a language immersion school. The first year, he had an amazing teacher and made great progress socially and academically. The next two years, however, he began to regress due to high teacher turnover, inconsistent instruction, and a 13:1 student-teacher ratio that wasn't conducive to much individualized attention. The 6:1 class size at Tree of Life has allowed my son to get lots of 1:1 time with his teacher. In addition, the mixed-age classroom, which is a staple of Montessori education, has provided my son with the chance to learn from older students. Moreover, the student-led, choice-based instructional approach, which is also a key feature in Montessori classrooms, has provided my son with ample opportunity to explore his interests while developing independence, confidence, fine motor skills, and intellectual curiosity. A mathematician and Montessori certified educator, Marla understands the stages of child development, and the value of high rigor and hands-on kinesthetic learning. Her classroom management style is firm but fair, and her guidance has informed some of the ways my wife and I support our son at home. Marla has a genuine appreciation for multi-cultural education. She regularly teaches about other cultural traditions like Holi, Kwanzaa, and the Chinese New Year, and invites special guests (including parents) to enrich the classroom experience by sharing their unique talents and traditions. Marla sends an update (both written and via FB group) on what was taught each week and what is forthcoming, is very responsive to email and text messages, and takes multiple measures to ensure her classroom is clean and safe (i.e., locked door, classroom cameras, optional masking, temperature checks, etc.) If an affordable Montessori education, in a small, in-home setting, with a highly skilled and caring teacher is an ideal learning environment for your child; and if an 8:30-4pm pickup works with your schedule, I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND Tree of Life Montessori. It's a wonderful place!

I picked this school mainly because it was so close to my work, but ended up loving the school. Marla is very serious about teaching, very responsible, and dependable and I can feel very comfortable leaving my daughter every morning. She has only up to 6 kids in her classroom and each child gets plenty of her attention. Only thing I did not like much about was the long nap time...she had a difficult time sleeping at night. A few years after we moved out of Atlanta, we visited the school because I had a conference. She welcomed my daughter for the week that I was staying in Atlanta and she loved being back in the school. The school has such a welcoming, warm environment and this school is my gold standard for preschools.

I found this place out of desperation due to my son's previous daycare losing my deposit and attempting to charge me another - while refusing to care for my son. Her staff members hold degrees and are very active with the children. I've never picked my son up and he was bored or a teacher was not paying attention to him. The only drawback is they keep the same schedule as the school system. So there's spring break, winter break etc which inconveniences me because I'm not from Atlanta and don't have family nearby to watch him during those times. However I do understand the staff needs a break as well so I manage. My job location recently changed so I was forced to withdraw him. Quite frankly, I'm upset she doesn't have another location. I honestly don't want my child to go anywhere else.

They constantly are asking for me to bring diapers and extra clothes when his items are there (scattered around the many classrooms). Finally they found his many packs of diapers and clothes. His name was constantly butchered by his many teachers and at such a young age, learning his name is imperative. Where's the care? Hands on?? Why is there not any way to reach someone at the physical facility? God forbid I leave my key card, I can not gain access to my child without being chastised. The turnover rate is outrageous. Let's not forget the positive covid tests ! No protocols whatsoever.

Reasons why I loved this school so much: - the staff: they really cared about my daughter and us parents. They came out every day to talk to us and give us updates on her day. You could tell they also were educated in childhood education. We loved our Ms Sheryl, Itzel and Kim - learning: they have a monthly curriculum where they teach the kids something age appropriate every day. My daughter flourished here. - Food: I loved that I did not have to pack food and I knew she was getting healthy organic options - coach: he made all the kids happy - community: this school felt like a small community. My husband got covid during our time in Atlanta and the school made us feel like we were cared for. They informed everyone in the school in a timely manner and sent us well wishes and food ! - communication: in the difficult times of covid TLC was amazing at communicating with us weekly about all measures they were taking. She starved my 2 yr old if he didn't eat what she provided for breakfast/lunch/snack. In addition, She doesn't care of my sons asthmatic needs which was a huge concern for me. I paid for full time service and only came due to reasonable prices and convenience of location. She consistently tells lies and makes up excuses so she can get paid 5 days out of the week and only watch him for 2. I've witnessed other children not happy around her. She also plays favoritism, in which you are suppose to treat all children equally. This was certainly a horrible experience for both me and my child. Pool, jacuzzi, steam room, locker/shower/bathroom for men, women and families. Basketball court, walking/running trail around the court on the second level, and a few rooms for the classes. I love the daycare. It gives me the freedom to exercise as much if I planned my visit well (since they have a schedule when the daycare) and there's also an outdoor playground. What I liked the most is the availability of sanitizers for the hand and equipments, it does help a lot in infection control. Most classes are free, you just have to check the schedules. It is a gym that stands for it's name: Cowart Family YMCA, because if you follow through the schedule well, everyone, from the kids to adults will have some activity to do.
