I would definitely not say this is in the top ten of haunted attractions but really was nice for being close to home. They had two different themed haunts. You could buy a single ticket for $20 or both haunts for $30. Haunts were primarily actor based and lacked sophisticated props but still could elicit a scream or two. Haunt is indoors which is nice. After going out of state to more elaborate haunts with the same ticket price this seemed a bit high for what it was. Parking was very unorganized no handicapped parking but than there were a lot of health limits to this haunt so maybe not really appropriate for handicapped guests. For those sensitive to strobe lights this is not an activity for you. Best actor was at the ticket booth dressed as the clown from "It". If you are looking fir a Halloween activity this is a fun activity to do. Looked like they had a snack bar but when we were there no one was manning the snack bar. Open Friday through Sunday from 7pm to 10pm. You can buy tickets online or in person. No photos as photos are not permitted

I have not seen these operas in many years. I am from NYC and used to live a block from the Gibert & Sullivan Society and frequent their presentations. Calisto was last seen by me in another opera house many years ago. Both Glimmerglass productions are excellent in every respect. Vocally, musically, scenery, costumes. I truly enjoyed coming to this beautiful opera house in upstate New York. There is special accessible parking, and they provide cart transport from car to gate before and after the performance.

Parking was an easy relatively short walk away from the main stage. If you need a more accessible option, there is a lot that is closer as well as crew providing rides with several golf carts. Once you are at the main building, the restrooms and other areas of interest are all within sight. If you are not familiar with this venue - take their suggestion to dress for the weather seriously! It's "open air" but not really. There are walls that open up around the venue, but for what I'm assuming would be lighting purposes and maybe sound integrity, are closed during the actual show (at least this particular show I went to). There are not unlimited shady spots, so if you're sensitive to heat, you may want to ensure that you arrive quite early (at least an hour) to get your pick if you are planning to hang out on campus for a bit before the show. I would strongly recommend bringing a water bottle with ice on a hot day. They let you bring in your own, definitely take advantage of that. I was thankful to have plenty of cold water to sip during the show; it can get a little stuffy in the venue with the walls are closed up and it's filled with patrons. Quality of the show was top notch. I believe our tickets were around $80 each, and we had a seat on the far side of the orchestra section. Even being almost as far to the side as one could be, I had no issues seeing what was going on peripherally and there was nothing to block my direct view. This is to say, I think there's probably not a bad seat in the house. The performers were excellent. I'd never seen this particular show, and I'm so glad I can now say that I have. I would have gladly paid double for the value of this experience. Bottom line: Great venue, great experience, will definitely be back. If you're especially heat sensitive - you might struggle a little bit - bring lots of water, consider buying seats closer to the back (at the back of the orchestra I spotted a large industrial fan), and/or bring a fan of some sort.

Lucky for us there was a theater near the town where we were told we "must see Skyfall." So quickly the day after our ginormous Thanksgiving meal we head towards Hamilton by Colgate University to check out this theater (across from the Colgate Bookstore). We found free street parking and headed inside. It looks like they have 4 theaters that show at once. This is like your small town indie theater (which was the kind I like!). You pay for your tickets inside before the concession stand and then head to your movie. No student discounts from what I could see. The day after Thanksgiving was packed! Every seat in Skyfall was full and they had to bring in extra seats for the overflow. The way the theater is structured, you actually can sit comfortably in the front row so definitely step up to the plate if there are no others. I did feel a little squished, but I don't think ever anticipated that many people in a single showing. Great theater, great feel, and certainly a highlight of the town.
