Julie and McKenzie followed up to ensure everything ran smoothly. While the cost was high, the moving crew and driver were impressive. They boxed and/or wrapped our furniture and valuables. We worked with the crew near Jackson, Mississippi. The packing crew were as sorry as they come. We had a company paid relocation package that included packing up the house. We were told not to pack anything because the movers would just have to unpack it, inventory, and repack it. The experience was bad from the beginning. Armstrong sent two people to pack an entire house. The lady started yelling at me from the beginning about how I should have had this stuff packed and this was the "worst house she had been to yet." Yes! she was yelling at me in my own home. They ran out of packing material and actually took my boxes (without asking) that I had set aside. The lady was packing stuff on top of my stove and hit the gas with her belly. She most have turned and lit the stove. She burned everything that was on top. I smelled smoke and came down. She had the fire out by then and no one got hurt, but she started a fire in my house!!!!!!! I could go on with countless other examples of distraction and carelessness by the packing crew. So, we were relocation from Jackson, MS to the East Coast. We were downsizing to a tiny apartment and the bulk of our possessions were to go to storage. I labeled with different color stickers. For example- green sticker meant apartment, red sticker meant storage, and blue sticker meant I would transport on my own. My seven year old niece even wrote "storage," "apartment," and "do not pack" on hundreds of stickers. I organized my cupboards, since I was told not to pack. So, the entire cupboard whet to one location like apartment. I even had one room that was all going to storage. That seems easy to keep track of to me. The packers called the parent company and told them I was unorganized and they could not be responsible if the stuff got to the right location. I realize now that they were just creating a paper trail to cover themselves on sloppy work. When we got to our apartment, our stuff was a mess. My daughter's crib was missing parts. Tape was put directly on our wooden furniture. I opened a box of kitchen stuff to see that my flour canister was put open in a box. I know this because I found the lid in another box. I can promise you that the lid was on the flour canister in the cupboard. I even remember taping it closed with blue painter's tape. My other canisters were ok and still taped shut. Stuff that was marked storage was at the apartment. It was just a mess. Honestly, I likely do not know the full extent of the damage done as I have not gone through the stuff that went to storage. My husband said the crew in Washington DC was amazing. They were helpful and worked hard to peal the tape off the furniture with out taking off the finish. read more

I WOULD NOT GET THIS COMPANY MOVE ANYONE ANYWHERE. We hired them to move my mom from Jackson MS. to California. The salesman quoted my mom one price and that is what she got cashiers check for. By the time the moving van got to California, 4000.00 more was added. We had a location, but had not got the actual unit yet. They said it was an extra charge to go to a different address. They said that we were notified of the extra charges when we signed the inventory list before the truck took off. (NOT) The driver said he could not get to the unit because his truck would not get to the actual unit. (HE DID NOT EVEN TRY) We were charged a shuttle fee. PLEASE DO NOT GET THIS COMPANY. These people were wonderful to work with. They did what they said they were going to do and when they were going to do it. We would use them again. The only thing I would say is that even though you mark boxes fragile and top load only etc. the guys loading load them where they want and where they are needed on the truck to make it work. Worked with a crew out of Dallas-Three on the move out, two on the move in. Could not be more impressed! Professional, clean, thorough. Protected carpet and floors from rain wet wheels on dolly too. My framed pictures came out in perfect condition. My antique piece of marble made the move without a scratch. Arrival, right on time. There were two different pick up sites and they had no problems with that. They adapted to what I had. Delivery as promised. The people in the office tracked us every step of the way to make sure we were satisfied and everything was being done right and done well. They relocated my 1 bedroom apt to another state 6 hours away. A team member came out to assess cost right away. Closer to the move I was contacted by their tv guy for measurements to crate my tv. On moving day guys packed and moved me. The tv guy came and crated my tv. Overall everyone did a great job. One week later my stuff was delivered on time.
