Nothing Special, The Armadillo Hotel is a hotel that in this area (West Texas ) oilfield companies use to house their employees in . Includes Breakfast , Lunch is premade sandwiches and or soup and drinks . And dinner if the company pays for the meal plan included in your stay . The rooms don't get vacuumed when cleaned every 3 to 4 days . Cleaning could be stepped up . Toilets are not cleaned when room is cleaned by cleaning staff . Cleaning days are missed on rooms . Huge place . Long walks depending on parking and where your room is at .Not much Big Trk Parking . I never could find the exact truck parking lot that was supposed to be on west side drove around and I could never locate it . If you drive a big truck 18 wheeler, you may get a parking place if you get there early in the day. Cafeteria staff was Exceptionally Excellent . I give 2 start due to cleaning issues of rooms . Distract Manager of the Armadillo was not very nice about my Service Dog . Tell me I could not have her with me . And implying my company didn't know I had her with me which they did . First words out of her mouth were you can't have that dog here and wanted me to know who she was . After the fact I checked in with my service dog at front office and showed all credentials on my dog. Typical power tripping Manager with a swollen head. After my boss called her and acknowledged that it was OK for me to have my dog with me through the company and an ugly me email she sent to my company. I heard nothing else about it. After she understood I wasn't hiding my dog from my company. The district manager proceeded to tell me that the dog must go with me that I couldn't leave her in the room which the dog goes everywhere with me. She finally excepted my dog was legit . read more

Needs new management. You fill out a survey and thr manager is callong ypur job trying to get you fired. Food is horrible 1/2 cooked. Ppl are constantly trying to come in your room. The maids do not clean they have roaches in the room jist not a good spot to stay read more

Front desk is no help, rude and quick. No time to listen correctly. Housekeeping comes in your rooms but nothing clean , no new towels, no added toilet paper. read more

Meals were supposed to have come with the room, but the QR code didn't work. I stayed one night and was charged for four nights...still trying to get that resolved. Nobody there seems to know what they're doing. It might be better to just sleep in your truck. Update: The hotel decided to charge me $283.14 for the 11 hours I stayed there. No apologies for overcharging or the lack of meals. This place will be my last resort as it is more expensive than many much better options. read more

I would give it 5 stars except for the incredibly annoying maid staff. This hotel has large touch screens beside each hotel room door that you use to unlock the door, it also displays messages and you can select "do not disturb" and a big red sign pops up on the screen saying "do not disturb" and it's literally impossible to miss because if you try to open the door it asks you if you're sure because do not disturb is on yet it's useless because the maid staff still bangs on the door at least twice a day and during this stay they also tried to enter twice without knocking while the do not disturb sign was turned on. They also don't speak English so you can't communicate with them read more

It's a man camp and if you're in the oilfield you already know what it is but this one is good. The rooms are pretty spacious and you have your own. bathroom. The cafeteria is good and they are generous with portions so you'll never go hungry plus you have a microwave and fridge in your room to keep and reheat leftovers. read more

The breakfast is beautiful as well as delicious. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I really love the hand carving of fruits and vegetables the staff displays, it's truly amazing. The team is awesome and I recommend this hotel 100%. I have tons of pictures of the breakfast that's served. Truly awesome. Rooms are some of the best I've ever stayed in for a man camp but the food is just awful compared to other man camps.

It came up as most affordable motel near me. I was tired, had a hard day and just wanted a room to rest. Google maps showed office but upon arrival its a quarter of a mile away from buildings housing rooms and hidden in trees with no signage to direct you to the office to check in. I reserved a room via Hotels.com so after finally finding the hidden office went to check in and all was fine except they require a confirmation code thats emailed to you as a reservation number is apparently not good enough. So after digging through various emails sent by Hotels.com I finally found it. By now I'm dead tired, pissed off and in no mood to play games. But it gets better, they the girl then asks if they sent me the key code or not-you know, one of those black and white Rorschach test images you hold up to screens? Okay, so I finally find that then am given my room number. I'm told to be sure to go to the last building of about 5, that all resemble giant shipping containers with windows but must go to the far west end, as the same number exists at the other end (you can't make this stuff up). Now I find my room, try to unlock it with the printed image against a screen which won't work so I call front desk and she drives over with the copy of it, which doesn't work, but after 20 minutes and no clicking of the lock mechanism or screen showing it opened, I push and it opens. So now I'm in and unable to get the ac to come on, it won't tell the temperature on the led screen but just comes on when it feels like it and the TV remote is so sophisticated it requires a MIT graduate to operate. After another 20 minutes I get the Outdoor channel as nothing else will come in but thats ok. I travel 2 to 3 weeks out of every month on business and have stayed at many many motels and honestly tell you this place is clean but the aggravation level you may endure is not worth the savings. Dont subject yourself to the new wave madness. Just get a normal room somewhere else that doesn't require codes emailed to you, paper "keys" that don't work, same numbered TINY rooms, ac unit and TV remote that you can't control and feeling like you're in the Idiocracy movie. Screw this place! Gimme a room at The Red Roof Inn or La Quinta any day!!!! read more
