The easiest way to write this review would be to refer you to reviews for Aptec Refrigeration & Appliance Service.( All 3 one star YELP Reviews, or the D- BBB Rating with 5 unresolved complaints, or the one star Google Reviews, or the one star Facebook Reviews or ...) Unfortunately, this company decided the easiest way to deal with a horrible reputation is to keep the same phone number, location and owner but merely change the business name. Let me give you and abbreviated review of what happened to us. This company was sent out by our extended warranty service to repair our double wall oven on July 12. The first appointment I waited for hours for them to call and show up. When they finally did arrive it was one young guy in a small private compact car. He came in with no tools, spent less than 5 minutes total and left saying "he would have to get approval for repairs due to the expensive cost of what needed to be done". He never came back or re-contacted us so we kept pestering the Warranty company. The service guy did not submit paperwork to warranty company so we were left in limbo. On August 30 the warranty company transferred our call to Ken with APLUS. He said "I advised insurance company the oven needs to be replaced. I won't be coming out nor will you hear from me again, the unit needs to be replaced!" After several calls to the warranty company in September we reached our tolerance for dealing with the warranty company or APLUS and we stopped in at the store we purchased the oven from. We talked with one of the owners and he said he would try to get some action. The following week I heard from a supervisor of the warranty company that the parts had been approved and that APLUS would be back out to make repairs. Ken arrived on October 9 and tried to fix the oven without removing it. He was unsuccessful and said he would be back October 14 or 15 with additional help. He never called or showed up. November 5 we called APLUS and left message with a different Ken to have Ken call us about repair status. Never heard from him!!! (SURPRISE) On November 11, we talked to supervisor at the warranty company and she said she had talked to Ken at APLUS and he would be coming out that same day with help. No surprise he didn't call or show up. We're done with him after researching this company and reading all the one star reviews. APLUS will not be allowed to step foot on our property and the warranty company needs to send a reputable service person out. The week prior to Thanksgiving GE sent a service team out and the oven was promptly and correctly repaired.

    I do not recommend this business they replaced my ice maker unit in October the ice started melting…read morein March I contacted them they sent a service person out he first said ice maker then after I said your company just replaced that he found a crack in the ice bucket ok get this they were going to charge me outrageous amount to slide the ice bucket in. I said I could do that myself. So we are out over 500.00 had to get another company to fix the problem!

It took 3 days to get me scheduled. They didn't show up when scheduled (Wednesday between 8 am - 12.). When I called, the woman who scheduled me couldn't find me on their schedule and couldn't explain why. Tech finally showed up after 4:30 pm (a whole day wasted waiting on them) but couldn't fix my fridge. He called the office twice and took pictures, saying he thought the problem may be non serviceable. Next day the parts manager called saying they had to order parts so they couldn't come back till the next Thursday (3-5 pm). 8 more days with no fridge but I was ASSURED it was fixable and they could get the parts. Still had not called or shown up by 4:30 pm on Thursday so I called them. They were closed. I finally got a call around 4:45 pm from the owner who spent at least 30 minutes making excuses and apologizing for their lack of communication. He finally got around to admitting they messed up. Turns out if the parts manager or the owner had listened to the tech and looked at the pictures, they would have known the fridge was non-serviceable, claim could have been filed the week before when they first came out and I could have gotten a new fridge in a couple of days. Because of their lack of communication and concern, we were without a refrigerator for 14 days. If I could give a rating of negative 10, I would. To say we were unhappy and dissatisfied with this company is an understatement!
