It is volunteer based and the people who work here are so sweet. If you can't find a book you want they can put it down on a list for you and hold it. When it is donated they'll give you a call. It is also such a steal when everything is so expensive to either get your monthly free book or pay no more than $2 for sometimes completely new books. It's the best!

The cashier who took our order was not very friendly, and not surprising either given past experiences here. After waiting for a bit, our bakery items still hadn't been handed to us so I went to check. One of the baristas (I believe her name was Courtney?) didn't acknowledge me at first and curtly asked if I had already ordered. I explained that we had a movie in 10 minutes and just needed our bakery items. Instead of simply grabbing them for me, she responded with a rude attitude saying orders are processed in the order received. I would understand if I had ordered a drink but I was just waiting on cookies and a brownie, something that takes zero effort to grab. The interaction could have been handled much better and unfortunately this level of service seems to be the norm here. That being said, aside from the unfriendly baristas, this Barnes & Nobles is clean and well organized.
