Practiced some self care and treated myself to some gems from here last week…read more All reasonable priced and a huge variety of items. Placed my order online for curbside pickup later that same day. Catch their flash sale online and received about 10% off my total purchase. I ordered around 9:30 am and my order was ready for pickup around 12:30pm. They have a wonderful selection of spiritual herbs, 1oz bags ranging from $3-3.50 per bag. I grabbed some lavender, spearmint, damiana leaf, rose petals and slippery elm bark. They have a great selection of kits for various items such as crystals, oils, etc..

She usually ignores me, doesn't offer to help, and seems genuinely miserable to be there. If you try to be friendly and nice while checking out.. she offers no warmth. But I actually had some questions and she was visibly annoyed. She was incredibly dismissive and straight up rude. I honestly was shocked bc I have been in there multiple times and spent a nice chunk of money and I was spending a nice chunk that day. I want to clarify I am overly nice and even while she was being rude I kept trying to win her over with kindness. She was arrogant, snotty, rude. and just overall very very bad vibes. I don't even want to light my dressed candle I got bc I feel like nothing about her is positive. There really aren't a lot of spots to find things around here like this but I am definitely not going back. It's unfortunate because I was genuinely ready to commit to some pretty big purchases in the future but the girl at the front counter is genuinely so rude I cannot fathom buying anything spiritual from a place with such a negative energy sitting in it. Just incredibly weird this is who they have front facing to their customers. You can look at every review I have ever done. They are all five stars. This is the only negative review I have ever written

Also, this lovely boutique is woman-owned and I love their branding. First, the decor is everything and I wanted everything! I went in a few mins before they closed on a beautiful Sunday evening. The young lady that worked there was very attentive and answered all my crazy questions. I met the owner (I did not know it was her at the time; so down-to-earth and sweet). My experience here was really nice. Ritual Shoppe has mystical items, apothecary (also pink LOL), beautiful fine jewelry, etc. I am definitely looking forward to visiting again and spending more time looking at more of what the shop offers.

So when I moved to Philly from Miami, I was sad to say goodbye to my local spiritual shop called…read moreGolden Triangle in Coral Gables. It had all things yoga and metaphysical in there and I loved it. From pretty quartz crystals to Tibetan singing bowls to incense, they had everything and anything. I've been wanting to find a shop similar in Philly and this one is like that but on a smaller scale and a bit more high end. I'm sad that they are going to be transitioning to being more of a pop up but I'm glad I still was able to stop by today. Probably not the best idea because I ended up spending more money than I intended to but it's for a good reason/investment into self care and spiritual protection (which I think we could all benefit from). What I appreciated most was how most of the things in there were handcrafted and curated by artisan jewelry makers or small business owners. The selection varies from intentional candles to crystals to rings to bath items but they all held special intentions and purposes like cleansing, healing, protection, etc. It all does seem a bit witchy , but it had good vibes. I don't consider myself to dabble in witchcraft (though I think some people do). I'm more about prayer, goal setting, and self care and spirituality which often gets confused for being withchery or sorcery which is sad, but I think it's how you use those kinds of things. You can tell the store had good vibes and promotes positivity and self care which I'm all about. I believe they are going to use it as a community space and will eventually host workshops which I'm excited about. I'm just really happy I stumbled upon it when I did and that I found some unique items in it. They are on the pricier side but again totally worth it. Investing in your mind and body is important, but your spirit in my opinion needs just as much tending to so I'm glad I was led in this direction. I was actually heading somewhere else entirely and landed at this place. Coincidence? I think not :) Happy Yelping! Note that they also have cute greeting cards and books. It's not just all spiritual stuff, but other cute Knick knacks too.

We liked stopping by this bookstore. Wooden Shoe Books had an array of books on race, social…read morejustice, and so much more. Their prices are a bit higher than you'd expect online or at a chain bookstore, but I find that very justifiable as all of their profits go towards running the shop and other social justice missions. The volunteers at the store were great as well and were happy to answer questions or direct us to where certain books were.

First, to address the person claiming "they are all racist here"…read more This is an ANARCHIST BOOK STORE. They have books on critical race theory, yes. They also have books on queer studies, feminist literature, Muslim education... the list goes on and on. Do you understand what anarchy is? At any rate I seriously doubt the black and brown employees who have or do currently work or volunteer at Wooden Shoe would appreciate being called racist, so why don't you, you know, fuck off and shop somewhere else? That being said. Wooden Shoe is an exceptional resource for books on any number of topics. They tend to skew toward literature on social justice issues that run the gamut, so you're not going to find the latest pop culture biography or new fiction. Books are full price, so expect to pay $35 for a new hardcover, but they also have a ton of $1-5 second hand books, plus a really cool section of free and cheap zines and small print publications. I've been shopping here for it seems like a decade, and as a queer, gender non-conforming biracial person, the idea that they are racist is comical bordering on fully ignorant.
