Don't bother with this place! Go to Cherry City Compassion where they actually care about their customers, unlike the business owner of 2nd step dispensary, Loren.
My wife and I stopped in to 2nd step Dispensary after finding a great deal they were advertising on a Google search. Upon visiting the Leafly profile for this dispensary I browsed over the menu and found a kind I liked. I made it over to the "updates" Tab and found their special for super cookies at $10 per gram which was posted that day. I decided that was going to be the best deal today and we drove over there.
I sent my wife in to pick up a gram and she came back about 10 minutes later with a gram of super cookies, but no change. I found this odd because she went in with $15 and came back with no dollars. If the gram was sold as advertised, it should have only cost $12.50. Leaving $2.50 change. I asked her to go back inside with the advertisement from the homepage on my phone so they could see that it was being advertise at a different price than what we were charged.
My wife graciously went back inside to ask about the discrepancy, and a few minutes later she came back with no additional money and no reasonable explanation why. She was told by the representative inside that the special was only for medical patients. This didn't make much sense because the post in Leafly, and the ad posted by their own page both named this as the 2nd step dispensary weekly special. 2nd step dispensary is recreational, 1st step is Medical. I didn't want my wife to have to go back in a third time, so we just went back home.
I left a comment on the business page's advertisement that verifies super cookies at $10 a gram for 2nd step dispensary. I asked in a comment why I was charged $15 instead of the correct amount of $12.50. What I got back was an obviously pre-composed, canned response from the apparent owner, Loren, explaining in a nutshell, that I was to blame for the issue.
He absolved himself and his company of any responsibility whatsoever and projected it all back on me for not doing additional research and verifying the specials through multiple Avenues fact-checking. As a rational consumer, this didn't make any sense to me. Why would I be to blame for seeing an ad he had posted on his own business Page's profile? I didn't write the ad. I didn't mislead myself into believing false information. The information, in fact, was given to me by the most trusted page in all things cannabis, Leafly, and by the 2nd step Dispensary's own page. It clearly stated, which I can back up with visual evidence, that super cookies would be $10/gram at 2nd step dispensary. It's indisputable.
The business owner, Loren, didn't like this very much. He responded several times to my comments on his business page's ad explaining that it was my fault for not going to "recreation station" to verify the special. This also didn't make sense to me because the name of the business isn't Recreation station, it's 2nd step dispensary. It says so on every piece of business related material they hand out. My receipt, my product label, the flyer they gave us with the menu, the Google hit, the Leafly, they all say 2nd step dispensary. Not Recreation station. I don't know what the heck "recreation station" is, but it's not where I just paid too much for this gram of super cookies. He also tried to blame my wife for being part of some conspiracy where she was pretending she didn't know what the price was supposed to be. When, in fact, she wasn't aware of how much it was going to be.
After going through all of this effort of trying to show Loren that he was falsely advertising and that I had been misled as a customer of his, he had the nerve to block me on Facebook and remove the post on which we were conversing.
This guy, Loren, was a condescending, callous, narcissistic denialist who wouldn't offer one ounce of understanding for the issue HE caused. We are never going back here, and I encourage every one of you to do the same. Loren and his bullshit dispensary just lost several customers to Cherry City. read more
