As someone who was a bit nervous…read moreand unsure of what to expect, I scheduled a one-hour deep tissue massage to help relieve the severe muscle tightness in my back, shoulders, and knee. To my surprise, the experience was exceptional. I walked out feeling significantly lighter and more relaxed, with much of the pain and tightness noticeably reduced -- especially in my shoulders, back, and knee. The relief lasted several days, which was more than I could've hoped for. Encouraged by the results, I immediately booked a 90-minute follow-up for the following week (9/3/2025). Since I hadn't caught the name of my first therapist, I simply requested whoever was available. That's how I ended up with Mona--or perhaps Monai (I apologize for not catching the correct spelling). All I can say is: that second massage was nothing short of life-changing. I told her generally where I was experiencing tightness, particularly in my lower back and right shoulder. Incredibly, she not only found those problem areas quickly but also discovered others I hadn't even realized were tense. As she worked, I could feel how different muscle groups were interconnected -- tension melting away in one area and bringing unexpected relief to another. Partway through the massage, something unexpected happened: my sinuses began to fill, and moisture welled up around my eyes. It wasn't pain or sadness -- just a strange emotional and physical release, perhaps from stress or toxins being worked out of my system. She incorporated stretches for my legs, hips, shoulders, and neck that brought back a range of motion and ease I hadn't felt in years. To call this experience "magical" is honestly an understatement. Afterward, I sat in my car in the parking lot for nearly 20 minutes, just absorbing the overwhelming sense of calm and peace. I wasn't numb -- I was deeply present, yet completely at ease. I spent the rest of the day in a meditative, blissful state. That feeling carried through into the next morning, and even now, I'm still feeling its effects. Needless to say, I'll be returning. I believe anyone would benefit from a massage at Angel House, but if you happen to get Monai, you may very well experience one of the best massages of your life.

I had surgery and severe pain in that area, she used a lot of time focusing with good intent on that soreness and was careful not to move my joint. I didnt need a massage in other areas, just that one pain area. Will definitely stop back in when Im in the area. Bordered on relaxing and therapeutic without too much soreness. Sadly some other places, or your chain membership places will give you the standard auto car wash massage and just do your whole body and focus few minutes where you really need it. On top of that you pay $60+ for an hour but wind up getting 45min because they have to prep for their next customer.

With other Therapists sometimes if you say said "that's a bit too much pressure" they'll respond by treating you like an infant for the rest of your treatment. Pam REALLY listens, adjusts and then asks you how the pressure is afterwards. That is so refreshing. You can tell she really cares about what she is doing (and about your well-being personally) and that responsibility would make anyone feel comfortable, whether injured, over stressed, over-worked or a combination of all of the above. I look forward to reading her literature and seeing her again in July when I come back to town. The massage is definitely worth the trip even if it wasn't my sole purpose. NOTE: Make sure you have cash or tell her how much you'd like to tip her before she rings you up. I personally felt horrible afterwards realizing this. She really worked so hard and deserves great praise.
