Very friendly staff with a lively atmosphere. After a long day of travel, I took mine to-go. Hoping…read morefor something lite and refreshing, I ordered the fish tacos and a side of pico. The pico wasn't included in my order, instead they have me some sort or brown gelatinous sause. I passed on that. The tacos were good. They don't offer a grilled option so I had to get the battered version. The batter is very heavy and retained quite a bit of oil. The cabbage, pico, and crema were delicious, just kind of lost in all of the heavy batter.

The restaurant is tucked into a small strip center off of Lee Trevino - it's not a huge dining space but there are plenty of tables and bar seating available. Board games such as Connect Four, Checkers, etc available to play. Lots of menu options to choose from. The crab nachos caught our attention to start with as an appetizer. For the main courses we ordered Fish & Chips, Shrimp & Chips and a plate with three tacos (asada, shrimp & fish). The nachos were unique but I think I'd opt for the chips & queso that I saw the table next door enjoying, next time. For the main courses, our favorite was the shrimp (alone & in the taco), followed by the asada taco and then the fish (alone & in the taco). Fries were crisp and good too. Overall, solid 4 star rating, with good service from the staff.

Outstanding food! Outstanding service!…read more We hired Off the Grill because we won a bid for a certificate benefitting Gigi's Playhouse. They honored it, and we could not have been happier! They delivered out-of-this world brisket and pulled pork. It was delicious! I recommend them without reservation or one single hesitation! We will most definitely be hiring them again!

I think that OTG is a pretty good food truck that serves BBQ-based items and I'm not rating it compared to sit-down BBQ restaurants; you shouldn't expect it to be an alternative to places like State Line or Famous Dave's. Their menu is pretty straightforward, mostly sandwiches or tacos made with one or more of their BBQ meats, but their most popular item, and the one they recommend, is the Pulled Pork Cheese Fries, they had me at "Pulled." I really liked them, the fries golden soft (which I prefer), not crispy fried and they are pretty decent size, none of that thin fry crap, they have lots of cheese and mixed with the BBQ sauce it makes for a nice tangy flavor. Because I have no self-control, I also ordered the sausage bites, which I found out is their second most popular item. It's a plate of sliced sausage drenched in BBQ sauce, which for the record I did share with another person. We weren't blown away by them, but they were okay, I'm just really picky about the sausages I put in my mouth. I would definitely recommend getting the fries over the bites if you are a normal person that only orders one thing. I do have to mention that the OTG folks were very friendly and personable, though there was a line I didn't feel rushed when it was my time to order, which is not uncommon at food trucks and stands. They were even nice enough to pose my food on the counter while I took photos of it, because I'm that kind of person. I found them at the Chamizal Memorial Park, check their facebook page to find their current location.
