Unfortunately for us Brown Construction was chosen to replace the roof on our home, an expensive…read moreproject. The funds used was my total savings, a federal grant, contributions from private citizens through an agency. Due to long term homeowners insurance Farmers Ranchers refusing to pay a claim on our destroyed roof in a snow, blizzard, falling trees issue: the only one submitted in over 15 years of their policy; which did cover such, ensuing in a long term legal battle. We had to seek relief from the ongoing constant damage to our home and our suffering, of years to the unbearable cold, storms, etc. Small children were at constant risk inside their own home. The results was poor structure, also the Contractor/sub contractor, without permission of owner and overriding my frantic objections during the process ... removed the original front eves of the home, the remaining eves had old/rotted wood left within, covered by new fascia board. Many procedures in the project indicate cutting corners for more profit than the original low bid would allow... Cutting corners to make extra income on the contract gained by a low bid, isn't exactly ethical nor in the best interest of the homeowner and structure. The eves, that were removed by that Contractor, also old wood left within the remaining eves must of course be replaced.... Most companies who pick up the federal grants or related assume whomever controls the payment, is the owner I guess, they need not confer with the tax payer owner, who dwells within, can treat them in any manner they chose. When I objected to the Forman on the destruction of the eves among other things, I was basically shoved aside, he then barked orders of , cut the *&^* off that's all she's getting, and they did, excuse me,??? There was no reason for this other than extra profit... this presents a structure problem and a weak area after replacement by an ethical contractor who does the best they can....never as solid as original... This is devastating, also the men's reactions to my objections while the damage was occurring was unconscionable......inexcusable. I have a professional working background with, Halliburton....Brown and Root in construction, consider my statements as Public protection concern..... I think these people were not expecting my knowledge of construction, and take advantage of people who do not have. BBB records show a license number of ZC0001253 for this company, issued by City of Amarillo. http://www.bbb.org/texas-panhandle/business-reviews/roofing-contractors/brown-construction-services-pllc-in-canyon-tx-99125855 BBB Accreditation Brown Construction Services PLLC is not BBB Accredite
