This was my first time hiring a professional photographer, and Alex was just so lovely to work with. During the shoot, he was so friendly and made us feel comfortable and knew the best angles and poses for us. The pictures came out beautifully and we could not have asked for better. Marc really took the time to get to know my husband & I to see what our vision for our wedding photos was to make sure that we were really able to tell the story of our day. We ended up with so many amazing shots that really captured the awesomeness of our day! So many of our guests have also commented on how great our pictures are as well. As a bride, you have so many things to worry about and Marc definitely helped to make my life easier by making sure that we had talked about & planned as much as possible ahead of time & staying in contact with me whenever I needed him. It really helped knowing that I had that much less to worry about. Thank you so much for everything Marc!!

I grew up the daughter of a professional art photographer. I have spent a lot of time looking at art photography. Marc has a wonderful eye for composition and emotion. When you look at his work you feel in your gut what is playing out in the pictures. He then combines that talent with a great eye for lighting and beauty. He is also meticulous in his preparations. Marc took great care to understand everything he could about our desires for the photos. This included not only who and what we wanted photographed, but he also sought to understand the mood we wanted portrayed. He probed us to understand our family and friend relationships so he knew who to focus extra time on when it came it to candid shots. He helped us understand how the timeline of the day would play out and how it would effect the photography making sure we would plan in the moments we needed to get specific shots. He was also easy to work with and a tremendously friendly and honorable guy. I feel very lucky to have had him photograph our wedding.

First the basics - we looked at a few other photographers and we did not find anyone that compares on cost. It wasn't even close. So it was affordable to work with Andrew, but also very smooth. He met with us in person three times and I am sure would have more had we asked. He was very responsive to emails and never set a limit of the number of contacts, which is something we have heard other vendors do. Andrew is personable, intelligent and very easy to work with. My wife and I also relied heavily on our vendors for advice on how to structure the wedding evening - they are the pros after all - and Andrew was always game for giving us advice on what works best. When we returned from our honeymoon Andrew had setup a Flickr account for us to see all of our photos. The quality is outstanding. The quantity is huge. And he gave us full rights to the photos. We could not have asked for a better experience with Andrew.

We received all our photos within four weeks of our wedding, had full digital rights, and were able to share them with our family and friends while the memories were still fresh. The photos were so great that we opted not to use any of the retouching he had included in our package. Andrew is also extremely pleasant to work with because he has a friendly, low-key personality. We felt like he really understood what we wanted and did not try to "sell" us on anything.

He is also easy to work with -- easygoing but super responsive, has a plan but also great on-the-fly. I knew from the minute I saw Matt's blog that I wanted to use him as our photographer for our wedding. There was just something about his pictures that made me feel good. I know, that sounds cheesy, but it's true. The day of our wedding was amazing. What I really loved about Matt and his assistant, Ernst, was that I don't think I saw him the entire time! He was never in my face or in the way but he managed to capture some of the most amazing moments. We have such great photos, I can't even believe it! Matt is very professional and has such an incredible eye. Even the usual posed shots that everyone hates to take (lol) came out beautifully. My only regret is not sending him a shot list of essential photos and for me being so disorganzied with the timing of everything. Even still, he managed to work with what we gave him and get some great shots. Oh and the Monday after the wedding he put pictures up on facebook so that we and our friends and family could have a sneak peek. I loved that. I can't say enough good things about Matt. As the others have said, he is a phenomenal photographer with a great eye and aesthetic. But more than that, he is a solid human being. Long story short, my now-husband and I had to find a new photographer one month before our wedding. Needless to say, I was panicking, but thankfully Mike had our day open and not only that, he went above and beyond in that month to make us feel comfortable with him for the big day by insisting on meeting in person multiple times and scheduling a casual photoshoot so we could get used to his direction and working together. It's Mike's professionalism and warmth that really stood out and impressed me. He's never late, had a great second shooter, and is very responsive to phone and email. Of course his photos are crazy, crazy beautiful and I am SO glad we found him (through Yelp too if I may add)! On the day of the wedding, I didn't notice him in our faces at all. Almost like he wasn't there at times, but when he sent us some sample photos, I nearly cried at all the great moments he captured. He was able to take ideas to an artistic level without going overboard. As an artist myself, I knew what I wanted conceptually and had very very specific requests/visions. I felt bad for being so specific, but he went all in and gave us what we were looking for. The group shots ALL came out perfect, which is a blessing. I'd say his strongest pics were his candids. Having those moments captured with perfect exposure and focus is amazing. I could go on and on. Mike is professional, smart, has a great eye, can color correct as well as any designer/photographer I've ever met and it's apparent he loves what he does. My partner and I couldn't be happier.
