My first experience getting fillings done here felt extremely rushed, the doctor seemed annoyed that the local anesthesia hurt a lot, and the place overall was very dirty. The assistants on the other hand were very nice. Regardless, I was still willing to go to my next appointment to get my other fillings done because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. To make this worst, when I went to my new dentist that opens Saturday's, to get a cleaning done, they told me my insurance would not cover it because Comfort Dental in Montebello had already billed for that service, even though I never got that done, nor was that in my treatment plan. BE WARE of this place, the reviews are not lying. I reported them right away. The office manager Angie was not upfront with me in what would get billed to my insurance. After i got the first fillings done, I had to go back right away because my fillings were way too high, I took the opportunity to ask Angie, to send me a copy of what I was supposed to get done. She told me no at first and I asked again and finally told me yes. Right away I thought that was shady. After sending two text messages days after I was at the office, she finally sent it to me. No where on the treatment plan does it say I was going to get a cleaning. Shame on these people!!!!!!! They seem "caring" at first but all they do is scam clients through their insurance. They thought I wouldn't notice but I am glad I called my insurance and made a report against them. I do not recommend anyone getting work done here. It is dirty, they are not caring at all, and over all a negative experience.

After being a loyal customer for so many years, today was my last day in this dental office. Im…read morehighly disappointed but I'm only doing this review hoping this doesn't happen to anyone else. I got a root canal and since this was my primary dentist they were the ones who I trusted to complete the process and add the crown, boy was I wrong. My appointment on June 1st was when they did the impression for the crown. On June 24th which would have and should have been the last appointment to complete the process was far from being the end of effective and efficient job. On that day the crown that came from the lab was not the correct color plus it was open med. The anatomy of it was the only good thing about it. So I was rescheduled for July 14. They called me a day before to let me know the crown had not arrived so they needed to reschedule me once more. The new rescheduled day was Monday July 20th. On Friday July 17th they called me once more to let me know that my crown had still not arrived and they needed to reschedule me once more but since they didn't know when the crown would arrive they rather call me to reschedule once it has arrived. Since I had braces in the past through out this waiting process I had not been wearing my bottom retainer since the ones I had no longer fit. I was extremely worried so I called on July 22nd to see if the crown had already arrived. Anna spoke to me and said that it had no arrived and game me a story that it was a new lab they were using from another state and blah blah blah that's how it sounded. Such a Bs answer but what was I supposed to do by now. I expressed my dissatisfaction to her and how this had caused such an inconvenience and how this is now affecting my teeth because I had not been wearing my retainer for this long. Anna apologized and stated that they could order the crown now from their local lab (suspicious) and that they can ask them to rush it and that they will do anything to accommodate my needs so I told her okay I'll reschedule but since I've already been taking so much pto from work plus the anxiety of not being able to wear my retainer I told her I can reschedule for July 30th but I also deserve a discount for all this inconvenience I've dealt with. Anna said that for that she needed to speak to Thai and they will reach out to me. Thai never called so I called and to my surprise she said they couldn't and the best they can do is ask the lab to provide me with retainer but they could only do the plastic ones. Which I obviously I declined because I have the metal ones and why would I trust them when I have my ortho who I trust and did an amazing job. Anyways I still went to my appointment on July 30th and to my surprise once again the crown looked like those square piece of gum. So fake it looked almost identical to the temp I had. I let them know that it was really bad and they agreed and stated that it was the lab but that they ask them to resend one with more of the anatomy of my tooth but of course that meant me requesting another day from work but although I was fed up I told them that I could do another visit but I needed them to understand and if needed to empathize to their lab that I want the crown done right, for them to take their time but I need a phenomenal job done. So another appointment was rescheduled for today August 14th. A week prior to today's appointment I called to make sure that they had received the new crown and to also make sure that they opened it and made sure that the anatomy of it was done well and what I had requested and emphasized in previous appointment. The person I spoke with that day said that yes it looked great. That was far from the truth. On today's appointment the crown did not have the best anatomy or similar anatomy from the first one. It was mediocre but I'm annoyed to say the least by now and did not want to continue with this roller coaster of disappointment with them. So it is what it is now there's nothing else I can do, I expressed my dissatisfaction once again to Anna and how after so many years of being a loyal customer here, they couldn't take accountability and acknowledge the inconvenience this whole process was and give me a discount? They rather loose a long time patient than make sure that the crown is perfect and compensate me for all this trouble? So I told her that this was my last visit here not like they cared but for future patients please read the reviews, if you're getting a crown here expect a mediocre job. The crown will look like a square fake piece of gum.

Painful Experience and Unreliable Crown - Would Not Recommend…read more I had a crown done at this clinic, and within three years, it fell off twice. The worst part? It fell off just one week after it was first placed. When I went back to have it re-cemented, I had to wait over an hour just to be seen by the doctor. And when he finally saw me, he didn't ask if I wanted anesthesia--he just started scraping off the old cement. My nerve was still alive. It hurt so bad I could barely breathe. He didn't ask, didn't explain, and didn't give me a choice. Just told me to "hang in there." I felt violated, ignored, and in unbearable pain. After that experience, I made up my mind: I'm never going back. No one should be treated like that at a dental clinic. More recently, the same crown fell off again. I went to two other dentists, and both of them said the crown wasn't fitted properly. One even said, "It was bound to fall off." But more importantly, both dentists told me this tooth never needed a crown in the first place--that it was a completely unnecessary treatment. The nerve was still alive and the tooth could have been treated much more conservatively. Instead, I went through a painful, irreversible procedure that cost me time, money, and well-being--and the result still failed. It's a total joke. The overall clinic environment was also extremely unprofessional. One of the dental assistants--an older woman--was rough and lacked basic courtesy. There was a time I was sitting in the treatment room, and as soon as she walked in, she pushed the chair button to recline me without saying a single word--not even a hello. It shocked me and felt incredibly disrespectful. Another time, during an X-ray, she poked my gums so hard I bled. She didn't apologize, didn't check on me--she just kept going like I was an object. No empathy, no communication. The dentist also seemed to overbook patients, and his treatment plans felt rushed and incomplete. When I had the crown placed, it was the assistant who was adjusting the bite. She was clearly frustrated during the process, and her attitude added so much pressure and anxiety. It made me dread coming back. If you're someone who fears pain, or if you need a dentist who listens and informs you before doing things to your body--this is not the place. You deserve better. Ugh I hate the dentist so I already have high anxiety going to any and all appointments, I change…read moremy dentist with every appointment so it speaks volumes that I've been here twice lol Parking was so easy, head towards the small area near CVS. They check your insurance prior to going to everything should be squared away before you check in. First appointment was X-rays and cleaning, very nice, I didn't feel uncomfortable at any point and I've been to other offices where the X-ray tab things are placed wrong and it causes pain or makes me gag and when they're cleaning and they don't pay attention and you get a pool of water and it's just uncomfortable but this was pretty good so I know I'll be ok next time. But again since it's been while between appointments I had to get a procedure so they made an appointment for the week after to get that done. Overall that was pretty ok, I got sweaty and wanted to run away but Dr Kuwaye was calming and explained things as it was going on and assured me I was doing ok. He has steady hands and they work well and fast which is what I like. My friend said her dentist has this oral rinse to numb the mouth which is something I wish they had and another dentist that I went to had non-drilling tolls so virtually pain free cleanings and without that agonizing drilling sound.
