During that first meeting, Stephanie made sure to walk through the general look and feel of what she'd be doing during our wedding. We went over a pretty comprehensive list of family/group shots that we wanted, and she assured us that the day was going to be special. When she showed up for the day of the wedding, she was prepared and professional and definitely knew how to handle two anxious grooms who were running around making sure everything was good for the festivities. My partner and I just let Stephanie take the reins for how our photos were done, and I'm sure she would have preferred a *little* guidance, we're so glad we did, because her ideas were better than anything we could have come up with. Ricardo did a fabulous job shooting our wedding, rolled with the punches (weather! low lighting!…read morerebellious toddlers!) and got a good number of images back to me within half as many days as we'd agreed to. Before the wedding we met once to go over logistics and agree on a shot list. The meeting was pleasant and I left feeling confident that he understood what we wanted - mostly candids of our guests enjoying themselves during the reception and a quick family photo session in the park immediately following our ceremony. On the day of my wedding, about two hours before we were supposed to meet at Brooklyn Bridge Park we had to call off the park ceremony due to rain. We also pushed everything back an hour. Ricardo was very understanding and when I showed up at The Green Building (our reception venue) he was already there with his assistent, had shot all my precious little DIY details before the guests had a chance to settle in, and expertly captured our ceremony in a much different setting than we'd discussed. We decided to meet a couple days later at the Olympic Sculpture Park (weather permitting). If the weather was not so great we were going to meet at her studio in West Seattle. I generally do not like to have my picture taken at all, or rather, do not enjoy looking at pictures of myself. That is why I was so pleasantly surprised when she sent me the link of the photos from the session, which she sent the same day as the session. She had taken lots of great pictures!
