From the moment I noticed the address, I could feel the energy from the outside. As I entered the salon, I was greeted professionally, and asked if I could be assisted. I stated that I had an appointment, and she said you must be Cathy. I nodded yes and she said Wesley will be right with you. As I took a seat, I was sitting no longer than 2 minutes before Wesley came over to introduce himself to me and that's where the real fun began! As I took my seat, Wesley and I had the best conversation. The needed a great cut with precision and Wesley was my guy for sure! He gave me exactly what I asked for, followed by a shampoo/conditioner with a nice scalp massage! It was simply amazing!!! When I say the service I received was amazing, there is no exaggeration to it. WESLEY IS THE BOMB!!! This salon is a gift to me. I was away for 8 years and during this time, was taken care of by a stylist using the Farouk hair care system, which includes Chi products. My hair is healthy and shows no sign of damage or breakage. When I moved back, another stylist told me her products were comparable but when I sat under the dryer, I couldn't breathe. That's when I realized she misled me and her products did contain ammonia, and a lot of it. I vowed to find another salon. And then I had the good fortune of finding this one. Woody is the owner as well as my stylist and I couldn't be happier. Her products are healthy, her talent and experience show, and her pride in her salon is obvious. Clean, well maintained, and welcoming. What more could I ask? There was more...the cost of highlights and a cut is under what the Ammonia stylist charged. The stylist cut her hair far too short, she asked her hair to be cut just below her shoulders, long layers, and curtain style bangs or bangs that are flared out. She ended up with a bob that lie ABOVE her shoulders with an uneven cut, and a lackluster of layers. I posted the reference picture my mom gave them for context and the haircut my mom got. It does not remotely look the same. I personally get a similar haircut -- long layers, curtain bangs, with slightly longer length and it's never looked how my mom's hair has...this is just overall really disappointing.
