However, instead of a great meal, we were greatly disappointed. For nearly $80, we were served chewy pork that was hard to cut or swallow, hard jasmine rice, burnt grilled prawns, and vegetables that were steamed instead of grilled. Additionally, we had to ask for utensils, as none were provided, and had to remind the inattentive waitress. Overall, we felt disrespected and will no longer recommend Thai Basement.
