If there is a little room between tables so you don't HAVE to eavesdrop on your neighbor, that's a good thing. This place had some room, so that was a plus. Service: Our waitress was nice, no complaints. She spoke English and French. The owner, at least I think it was the owner, was funny when we left because he asked if we liked Japanese food and that there was a great place next door. I'm sure he is friends with them or something...? Usually you don't try to get patrons to NOT come to your restaurant! But hey, when in France...! Price: Reasonable, not cheap but not expensive. Like most places in Toulouse, they have a "meal deal" sort of thing where you can get an appetizer and entree or entree and dessert or go for broke with all 3. Finally, this small Thai restaurant's daily special caught our attention and we entered. There are about 15 seats in this restaurant. We were the third and fourth customers during lunch, but by the end, it was almost at capacity. The menu was in French with photos of each dish, so it was easy to figure out. The server brought us complimentary drinks as we browsed the menu (we thought we were getting something special, but the other customers also received such nice treatment). One of us ordered Pad See Yew with chicken, and the other ordered a spicy beef dish with rice and vegetables. It came with a salad and included dessert. Throughout the meal, we drank a lot of water, which was continuously refilled without hesitation - a rarity in France. Finally, the pacing was impeccable, as the server kept an eye on our meals and knew when it was time to bring out the next course. For two meals, we paid about 18 euros in total, a great value for delicious food. It was just like Thai food I eat at home. We even left a small tip (in France) - that's how good it was.

One of the largest frustrations of being in most parts of France is finding an open restaurant after about 830-900 and we were successful here. The Thai offerings were great, nice sized portions easily served family style. The curries were excellent as were the wok items and there was even a decent amount of heat in several of the items, (the Pa Nang curry for example). The Pad Thai was great and the only thing that was lacking was a decent array of street noodles(which I could have missed). To make a long story short, the people here are delightful and their food is great plus they serve really cold tap water and don't try to force you to purchase some really mediocre Vittel for about 6 bucks a liter. This place is a real find and we walked out very satisfied. Yes, go to this place!!! Even though Toulouse is not really the best place in France to stay and vacation, this restaurant made the trip worthwhile!! At least that's one American's opinion..

I was able to get a reservation same-day on a Saturday night, and they held the table for me when I called to say that we would be late due to traffic. My husband had gyoza, chicken yakitori, a California roll and some sushi. I had one of the combos, with a miso soup, cabbage salad and scallop tepanyaki (stirfry) with rice. The cabbage salad was delicious with freshly toasted sesame seeds. My scallops were perfectly cooked, moist and sweet. The accompanying veggies were a little too soy-sauce-salty but were mostly good (mushrooms, zucchini, etc.)
