We took a trip to Watkins Glen after a scenic stop at a winery. The wine hit, the hunger hit harder, and we wandered into town very ready to eat. That's when we found this random Thai spot that looked completely unassuming, but honestly delivered. I got the duck noodles - savory, rich, and just a bit sweet. My girlfriend ordered the Three Duck dish, but it leaned way too sweet (and I agree). The meat portions were generous. The staff was lovely too - super kind and even helped open our wine bottle. They brought us an ice bucket and everything. Total small-town gem energy with surprisingly solid Thai food. I didn't get the Three Duck dish so I'll give this spot a 4/5.

Thai Elephants was in walking distance of my hotel and I'm so glad it was. It's a cozy restaurant with not much room in between tables. I got a delicious curry and shared spring rolls with my husband. The food is flavorful without being so spicy you can't taste anything. There is attention to detail in the food in the form of a carrot cut into the shape of a flower, a serving of rice in a volcano shape. It's reasonably priced and the service is prompt. We later found out there is an all-vegan sister restaurant a few streets away called Green Elephants. Next time!

We came here for dinner after a day of wineries. The food was very good. We were seated immediately and ordered very shortly after. The wait staff was very friendly and helped with recommending spicy versus non-spicy dishes. Thai Elephants has been on my list of places to visit and we weren't disappointed. We will return!

Great local gem in Watkins glen. Food was quick and delicious. We got the pad see ew and Thai elephant sampler. The menu online said the sampler would come with 2 pieces tofu, spring roll, and summer rolls each but we only got one of each. Not sure if it was an error or if they updated their menu but the discrepancy needs fixed. Otherwise the food was good and service was quick for take out!

Thai Elephants is located in Watkins Glen. We came here after we hiked Watkins Glen State Park and we were seated right away. I had the Thai iced tea and Pad See Aew with tofu. Pad See Aew is fresh flat noodles, richness of black sweet soy sauce flavor, egg, and Chinese broccoli. The Pad See Aew was very flavorful and very yummy. It was a good proportion of food too. Service was friendly and there are plenty of tables for groups. I would recommend this restaurant if you are in the area!

In town for a fishing trip and had a great meal. Pad Thai, chicken massaman, and spring rolls were all flavorful. Very cool decor with large tv fish tanks. Friendly service. Would definitely go back.

One of the few restaurants open during off-season (winter) on a Monday and so glad they are! We were visiting from out of state touring the many wineries around the lake. They allow BYOB with NO corkage fee which was a huge plus for us! We were sat by the window and were immediately waited on. We took our time ordering, enjoying one of our wine purchases, and didn't feel rushed. We shared the calamari appetizer while we reviewed the menu some more. It was not my favorite calamari - the pieces were thick and chewy and the drizzled chili sauce soaked in too much of the breading so it was not very crispy. However, our duck and noodle entrees were great. I ordered my crispy duck basil "mild" spice level and it had no spice at all - I actually added some spice for some kick. We ordered the drunken noodles "medium" and that really packed a punch- way more than what I would consider medium spice. The noodles were excellent, but wish I could've eaten more without my tongue getting burned off! Also, glad we ate early because we were the last ones there at 7:30pm and I think they were getting ready to close.

Nice services and food, and I think the price is very reasonable too! Would come back if we ever in this area again.

I really enjoyed our lunch here. I appreciate all the COVID precautions! Hand sanitizer available, temp check, and staff is wearing masks. The menu has a nice variety of different dishes. We got a Thai iced tea, OMG their iced tea is delicious!! We tried the Pad Thai and panang curry. The food came out quickly with generous portions. We enjoyed our food and price was reasonable. Next time we are in Watkins Glen we are definitely returning!

Okay so my goal here was to grab some sushi on my way home from work, which for me is a drive from…read moreBuffalo New York to almost Binghamton New York. I researched a few places that have sushi on my way and this one was my choice. I stopped in the day before I was intending on buying anything so I could see where the place is and talk to the staff because I was going to purchase quite a bit. At least more than an average person would typically grab for lunch. So on my way home today, I called them and basically ordered nine sushi rolls. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that they have a lunch special, any three rolls for $13.95. I would have bought them anyways at the regular price but this was kind of a nice bonus. They told me 30 minutes, I got there in 30 minutes, and it wasn't ready yet... Which wasn't really a big deal as they were working on it and I wasn't the only person there. The gentleman rolling the sushi in my humble opinion has some mad skills as he did all nine of my rolls while I sat there and watched and I don't think it took more than about 8 minutes to complete the whole order. I was also pleasantly surprised that they have eel sauce. I'm not sure about other people's experiences however for myself and my wife it's sometimes challenging to find a place that serves sushi and has eel sauce. They packaged it up pretty quick, put a little dab of wasabi on the corner of each little to-go container and I was on my way. I didn't go too far into the place however from what I can see from where I was it seems pretty clean. There's probably about a dozen tables available and a bar area. During both of my visits I had the opportunity to speak with three different employees and all of them were very nice and accommodating. The sushi itself was rather tasty. My wife and I have had sushi from various places and this place is now near the top of our list as far as taste and appearance goes. As I told them when I left earlier with my order, as long as my wife likes it I will most definitely be back, possibly a couple times a month anyways as even though it's 45 minutes from my house, it's on my way home and as far as a quick lunch, it's way better than fast food.

They add a mandatory 18% service charge (tip) to all dine-in orders…read more Their reasoning is that many customers don't leave enough tip. But that doesn't justify forcing it on your customers.

Our friend had been talking about getting Thai food even before arriving there, so we knew instantly where we needed to go: The Elephant in Geneva! We came a bit early for dinner, probably at around 6pm (way earlier than my normal 8/9pm dinner time) but it was perfect for our party fo 6. They had a really nice ambiance and I really loved the screens all around the restaurant that made you feel like you were looking into an aquarium, super cool and cozy. The staff and servers here were amazing! So hospitable, kind and got our orders in so quick. When the portions came out we were shocked at how large the plates were. For me and my hubby, our portions were JUST right and we definitely didn't need to share since we were starving. A lot of our friends did end up taking some of the food home since it was a lot. I ordered the green curry and it was so delicious. My only "complain" would be that I wish the curry was a bit hotter (temperature wise) since it felt a bit on the lukewarmy side. Other than that, it was perfect and just what we needed. We had vegetarians and gluten free in our group so it was the perfect spot for everyone to find something they could eat. DO NOT SKIP the Thai tea ***instant drool*** it's DELISH!
