It was the best Thai food we've ever had (compared to Thai food in New York and Los Angeles). Every course was perfect. The drinks were delicious. We highly recommend the pork egg rolls, red curry with coconut milk, and the banana and tapioca dessert. Our kir and Salathai cocktail exceeded our expectations. The service was friendly and attentive, and the whole staff was very friendly and welcoming. A terrific restaurant. A perfect lunch.

What a pleasant surprise we had this evening (Friday, August 10) when we wandered into this…read morebeautiful and quiet old section of the 9th arrondissement and discovered this very nice (and very reasonably priced) new (2 months old) Thai restaurant. The owners and staff were extremely gracious and attentive; they were very warm and helpful (and understood English). The food itself was fresh and the portions bountiful, but most importantly, each dish was delicious and beautifully presented. We started with the chicken thai rolls (served with a fresh sprig of mint leaves to wrap them in with lettuce) and had the basil beef (with sauteed vegetables on the side) and the ginger beef. The flavors in each dish complimented each other beautifully and the meat was tender and the vegetables crisp - it was just a delight to eat. I do hope that this restaurant is discovered and does well so that I can enjoy another dinner here the next time I visit Paris.

The hostess was beautifully dressed in traditional clothing and was punctual to our needs. I had the Tom Yum Seafood Soup as an appetizer which was followed by a Chicken Coconut Curry as the main course. The food was cooked to perfection and the fresh herbs really hit the spot. My husband had a duck dish that was delicious as well. We shared two scoops of coconut and mango ice cream to top it off. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is wonderful. I recommend trying Sou Kho Thai.

Vegetarian offerings were almost non-existent and the server tried to get my boyfriend and I out of the restaurant as quickly as possible, even came so far as to start folding up our napkins and resetting the table before we had even stood up to put our coats back on (and there was no one standing waiting to take our table!) I live so close to this restaurant I was hoping it would become a new favorite spot, but after the mediocre food and terrible service I will never come back.

The spare ribs are a must. Tom Ka Gai is maybe the best I've had anywhere. Curries and Sate are also good. Even the rice is cooked perfectly. Nice atmosphere. Busy but comfortable. Service is fast and efficient. And Munay (spelling?) made us feel like family. If you want a change of pace from French, Italian, sandwiches or kebabs, check out Le Banyan. Lots of locals were eating here. It's legit.

My friend and I wanted Thai for our last night in Paris, and this place was close to our hotel. We…read morehad been travelling for 3 months and didn't want anything overly expensive so we alerted our waitress to this. She suggested that we split a $35 meal between the two of us. It consisted of small portions of Chinese entrees, a small mixed meat main and a flavourless "traditional thai" dessert. The plating was pleasant throughout but the taste was very plain - maybe the chef knew this as he presented us with mountains of sauces to cover the dull taste. Due to the nice presentation, we called over our waitress just to confirm that this was just one meal split between two, and that we would only be paying $35 total for the meal, rather than $35 each. She confirmed that this was the case, but when our bill was brought out to us, we had been charged twice. Never one to make a scene, my friend calmly called over the waiter that had relieved our previous waitress of her shift and explained the situation. The waiter then told us he would bring out the owner. The owner must have had something against english mother tongues because the he was immediately offensive as my friend started to explain our situation. He told her that it was our mistake for eating the food and that it was impossible that our waitress had told us that the dish could be split between two people. I tried to ask if i could explain the situation and was immediately shushed - YES, actually SHUSHED, he put his finger to his mouth and told me to shush - by the owner. We explained that we did not want an expensive dinner and the waitress suggested this split meal because of that. We were told by the waiter that if we wanted something inexpensive we should have gone to McDonalds. I tried to convey that there must have been a misunderstanding and that it was not our error, but he spat a rude reply of "Two words. Cash or Credit." Due to our shock and distress we fumbled around for a few seconds trying to work out how much the bill would be split between two, and the owner pulled out his phone and said he was calling the police. We ended up having to pay over 50 euro each including wine, for average food and very very disgusting customer service. For anyone that does not want their entire night to be ruined by horrible, arrogant people - do not go here. Would not return even if I was being paid to do so.
