The food is Amaziiiiing ! We lived in Lumberton 3 years however we really started going to thai chilli in our last year . First two years, every time we tried they were closed. They have this weird timing and are closed saturday and sunday which is really when we eat out. So, we kind of lost interest. But finally , we got to try them on a friday and let me tell you once you eat here , you know its totally awesome! Coming from Chicago , where you have amazing thai restaurants everywhere , I could tell good thai food was rarity in south having tried many thai restaurants in myrtle beach , fayetteville etc. Only to find the best one in my own town, 2 mins away form my home ! Our regulars here were , Pad see ew , drunken noodles , Basil Fried rice , Curry Fried rice and Panang curry . The food is delicious and these guys can really crank up the heat. read more

This is kind of a weird little Thai restaurant. For one thing, they were playing Christian rock, which perhaps explains why they're never open on Sunday (usually the time I'd be driving by here). For another, their website makes statements like "Traditional Thai food is the highest quality of all Asian food" which-don't get me wrong I like my Thai food-kind of raises some eyebrows. On the positive side, they are vegetarian/vegan friendly and will make dishes to suit your needs. I probably should have pushed more, as my vegetarian Pad Thai came with a slightly off hint of egg but no tofu. It was a bit of a one-note sweet sauce, but the spiciness I asked for was pretty powerful. My guess is if I hadn't been in a hurry, I would have ordered something more interesting and asked for no egg. As someone who's tried to find vegetarian food in a lot of small Carolina towns, I'm glad they're here in Lumberton taking care of people's needs. read more

Another Lumberton gem. I came here for dinner with my friend because of our shared love of Thai food. We're both in the area temporarily for work and decided to venture here. The decor is very simple and not a place to go if ambiance is the goal. But it's clean and the perfect place for a good casual bite. My friend had been here before but this was my first time. So I went with her suggestions for dishes. We ordered a Thai Tea, an order of spring rolls, shrimp pad see ew, and chicken pad see ew. She said the Thai Tea was delicious. I'm normally a fan but decided to save my calories for the food and opted for a water instead. Shortly after the drinks arrived, our spring rolls came out. They were piping hot and the filling was fresh and well seasoned. The wrapper was perfectly crisp and not greasy at all. The pad see ew was delicious. The flavors were spot on and the protein was cooked well. The only criticism I have is that the noodles were slightly overcooked but not so much so that the dish was inedible or unenjoyable. I was passing through on a road trip, looking for a dog friendly place to lunch. This place is convenient off of I-95. Staff was welcoming and brought out a umbrella so we could eat at the outdoor tables in the shade. Our party ordered wontons, drunken noodles with beef, and tofu pad thai. Overall for a small town in the South this Thai restaurant impressed. The staff was very helpful and toddler and dog friendly. The Thai chili hot sauce that we ordered on the side was fresh chopped chili peppers, not dried flakes. It really packed a punch. Fresh Thai basil is growing on the patio. Do not believe the positive reviews! We were fooled! This was the worst "Thai" food I've ever had. I can't even insult Thailand by calling that Thai food. It was saturated in sauce, no vegetables at all in the pad Thai, no flavor, garlic chicken was floating in sauce and looked like nothing I would even feed my dogs. Spring roll tasteless and foul. The salad dressing smelled horrible I should have known from that moment to leave and not eat anything from there. Wonton soup was sour and the meat did not look cooked. The rice was not fried let alone done cooked it was wet and soggy and the pineapples were not fresh it was definitely from a can and sour. Please do not eat here and waste your money until they get a suitable chef that can actually prepare Thai food. We have never left so much food on a table untouched. I've never been so sad and disappointed after eating Thai food. Please get a new chef they do not value what they present to their patrons. Only positive is the cleanliness. In response to the owners reply: I did bring it to the waitress' attention that the food was not good and I did not want a to go box for any of the food and she said nothing in response. She did not ask what was wrong ever during the duration of the meal or after the meal. And note the sign on the wall that I took a pic of regarding the refund/complaint policy so I already knew you would not address my issues and it was clearly seen that they were not taken seriously. The spices were above average and not bashful with the heat, which we loved. I even was offered a spice tray which was NOT necessary:-). This was a very clean and well organized restaurant with an A rating by board of health!!!. It was perfect for a quick bite while traveling. Flavors were all very balanced & a pleasant surprise. The no frills dining room was pleasant and authentic but somewhat lacked a cozy or romantic ambience if you are on a first date. I doubt that is what they are trying to execute anyway. They also have an interesting "Food Serving" concept that you are greeted by a pleasant Caucasian gentleman (family?), served by an owner who is Thai??? Seems to be family run. The service was excellent and the food was great. We eat Thai food out quite frequently and the food here was as delicious. The only small drawback was they don't have a liquor license yet and we like Thai beer with our spicy food. We were just passing through in our travels, but we recommend this place and would go back. Phenomenal that this place is located in Lumberton! Having lived in the Pacific Northwest, I know a little something about Thai food. This place is fantastic! Try the Yellow Curry! The onions and carrots were definitely fresh. When you can tell that when they are in a curry, you know it's good! The coconut taste was just a hint, not overdone. The fried spring rolls were crisp and tasty. The ambiance is ok. I didn't stay, because it was 8:05 and they told me they closed at 8:15 even though the sign clearly said 8:30.
