I'm a native New Yorker so I know what authentic Chinese tastes like and this is the real deal. The chef is the owner and that means he takes pride in his work which is obvious from the first bite. I was so hungry I didn't take a pic when it first arrived but I'm going to post pics of what was left after I attacked. The portion is huge so guess what I'm having for dinner. Wizard was my waiter and he was so sweet, helpful and kept my free Diet Coke refill going. He even suggested I go to Fayettville Festival Park. Their food is the best. I've tried everyone in the areas won tons and general tsos plates and this place hands down has the best. I drive across town for them and they never disappoint. Just their fried rice alone is better than everyone else's. Twice this year alone I tried someone else's recommended "great Chinese spot" and they were no where near as good. My won tons never make it home, My son holds the sauce and we both chow down on our way home with our plates lol read more

I'd never heard of Boonma Thai until starting a new job, where my coworkers talk about it like it's…read morethe Thai spot in town. When that many people hype a place, expectations are officially raised, so I figured it was time to see what the buzz was about. This was a pickup order handled by a coworker, so I can't personally speak to service, but everyone I work with swears the staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, and I believe them. I ordered the Thai beef salad from the lunch menu and a large Thai tea. Price-wise, the beef salad was very reasonable. The Thai tea was on the expensive side, though you do get a generous portion. I ordered the salad medium hot, and the spice level was spot-on. That said, the flavor leaned much sweeter than I expected. I know Thai beef salad can have a hint of sweetness to balance the lime and fish sauce, but here it felt more pronounced than usual. The dish was also missing that classic crunchy element, the toasted ground rice that usually adds texture and depth, which made it feel a bit flat. The Thai tea was the biggest miss for me. It tasted noticeably watered down, and interestingly, several coworkers independently said the same thing about theirs. They also mentioned their food wasn't quite up to Boonma's usual standard this time. I'm landing at three stars for now, not because it was bad, but because it didn't match the reputation my coworkers built up. That said, given how strongly everyone vouches for this place, I'm more than willing to give Boonma (and my coworkers) another chance to convince me this was just an off day.
