In need of a quick pre-event bite, the thrill of a first to review led us here. An empty restaurant on a relatively busy street nearly turned us away, but for the sake of the yelping public (and my hanger) I'm thankful we persisted.
While my sweet and sour chicken was gasping for its last cluck under a sea of sauce, the flavour did touch all four corners of perfection for delicious Thai food (hot, sour, sweet and salty). With big chunky pieces of white meat chicken along with fresh, crisp veggies and juicy pineapple, let's just say there wasn't much complaining between the time the chopsticks tucked into the container and when they hit my mouth.
We were also completely impressed with the pad thai testing staple! As others pointed out, the noodles had that 'tomato-y' flavour, where the fish sauce, soy sauce chili and lime seem to magically blend into a new sauce all together, almost more like tamarind than tomato, but in the same fruity, sour, date-ish flavour.
All in all, this is a YES for a cheap, cheerful and quick take-away bite. read more
