I tried this food truck at the Red White and Brew, the Beavercreek event last weekend. There was an extremely long line for this truck. Going only off of the long line, we thought that it might be a popular and good choice...we were very wrong. I ordered the pad thai, egg roll, and boba tea. None of the choices were pleasant. The pad thai was... not pad thai. It was rice noodles soaked in a greasy overly sweet generic sauce. Truly, the worst version of pad thai I've ever had and I think even Noodles and Co. serves a pad thai dish that's levels above this. The egg roll was soggy. I don't think I need to say anything more about that. And the boba tea was extremely sweet and generic, but was the least offensive of the three. I would definitely not order from this place again and I'm very surprised by the low quality of the food. read more

My friend ordered their pad thai and she said it made her feel sick. I had their Taro boba and it was gross. It's nothing like the pictures either. You don't get this iced blended drink with boba. Instead, you get a milky weak iced drink that's barely blended in their blender for 30 seconds. What a mess. And it was too sweet. I didn't even want to drink it after I got it. Today I ordered the chicken Thai Pad entree while Thai 1 On was parked at Yellow Springs Brewery. The dish was unbearably too sweet with hardly any chicken on it at all. I paid $9 for a overly sweet noodle dish with a tiny portion of chicken. I asked for a medium spicy level, but any spice present in this entree was drown out by the sweetness. I was extremely disappointed in this food truck and will not be a returning customer. read more

Booooooooooo. This was such a disappointment. When I finally made it to Yellow Springs brewery I was thrilled to see a Thai food truck and jumping for joy when I heard they took their spice levels seriously! They were out of their special (fine, it was 7:30 by the time I came by) and also out of tea. Their Pad Thai was half oil, half noodle and completely lackluster. Minimum flavor. Paired with the bare minimum customer service of "yes?" when I approached the truck, it's easy to say I would not order here again. I'd go for the cheese tray inside Yellow Springs first. read more

The food is probably the best Asian food in the area but you will wait FOREVER! We got our order a full 40 minutes after we ordered, which is a really LONG time for a food truck. Some of the people standing near us said they waited over an hour to get their meals. Our pad Thai was very good, a little sweet, but it worked, lots of meat, not enough veggie, otherwise yummy. I wish I hadn't handed over my money before seeing them scoop their gelatinous food stuff (made god knows when) into a microwave. I wish I had saved the food to take a picture of it, but we quickly threw all of it out after bravely and briefly trying to get past microwaved chicken and shrimp atop congealed noodles and rice. They must have new owners, because the pics on Yelp have nothing to do with what they actually serve and any positive review of their current state is inconceivable. The pad thai was actually really tasty but is a little on the sweeter side. The only problem I had with it is I ordered the shrimp version and for $11 there was only 4 medium sized shrimp in it. I also got an order of the bourbon chicken which was ok but not unlike what you get at the mall and it was drowning in sauce with a small side of rice. I almost didn't place an order here due to the poor ratings on Yelp, but I'm glad I did! The rangoons didn't have any crab meat, however they were fresh and loaded with a sweet gooey filling. The chicken fried rice was awesome as well. I got a level 2 which was a little too spicy for my taste, but my fiancé loved the extra kick. Disappointed. Menu looked good but the food was not what we expected. We ordered bourbon chicken which best resembled barbecue chicken. We expected to see pieces of chicken with a honey-like glaze. Instead, we received a pile of pulled chicken that tasted like barbecue. Also, we ordered a chicken and shrimp combo with fried rice. The rice had broken down into a mush state. We also ordered it as a level 1 which was listed as mild. The spice level of our food was closer to a 3 or 4, which made it inedible. If you like Thai food, temper your expectations if you try Thai 1 On. read more

Thai1on is one of my favorite food trucks here in the Dayton area. My favorite is the Chicken Pad Thai and I love that I can choose the level of heat, I typically get it at a 2.5 or 3 out of 1 to 5. The Thai Iced Tea is so good I find myself craving it over the winter months when the food trucks go into hibernation. Pair all this with a friendly staff and affordable prices, you can't go wrong. read more

Disappointing experience...order some shrimp pad Thai successfully...tried to order two orders of bourbon chicken and pay extra to substitute fried rice for white rice and they refused and said I would just have to buy an entire fried rice meal separately if I wanted that. what a joke...first Asian cuisine place I've been to that can't make a simple substitution for a small up charge...I canceled the bourbon chicken orders and settled for just the one order of pad Thai...why turn down $20+ more dollars? Thai 1 On has been coming to the Family Video Food Truck Rally in Huber Heights the past few months. I have gotten their Bourbon Chicken at level 2 and the Thai Iced Tea. Both have been really good. My son tried the Fried Rice spice level 3. Unfortunately he didn't like it because it was too spicy for him (tried to get him to go lower). He loves the tea as well though. read more
