I just had the best service call ever, and I'm a senior citizen! Ted and Vinny came to maintain my boiler, but also to determine why the heating efficiency has decreased. They were poking and probing for 3 hours to help me out. I know they weren't down there fooling around because I was called down into the basement to see and learn about all the tests they were doing and the results of each. Everything was explained by Ted, the senior technician. He also showed me other boiler items to watch out for and even provided me with a 3rd-party cleaner that I might consider buying to keep the system running well. Their charge for 3 hours' work was reasonable! I've used TGM Services for electrical and A/C work, too, and it's fixed or enhanced, and it always works going forward. I am grateful for these 2 guys. After 9 years, our water heater began to leak. I called several plumbers and got prices all of which seemed very high. I reached one very nice woman who told me that she didn't service the Hackettstown area, but suggested I try TGM services. I am really glad I did. The receptionist that answered the phone at TGM was remarkably knowledgeable asking that I send in a few pictures of the failed heater and the surrounding connections. A few minutes later, she called back with a reasonable quote and an estimated time the crew could be to my house with a new heater. This was one of the best contractor experiences I have had. Sean and and his co worker arrived at the expected time slipped on shoe covers before entering and went right to work. Within an hour and a half, the new heater was installed with all the necessary code improvements at the exact price quoted. Everything the "plumber" Sean touched he fouled up. They excessively used a jackhammer to put an electrical wire through and left my cellar wall cracked. There was no call for that. Drilling through the floor there would have been quick and efficient without causing property damage. Not a good value. read more

Excellent service from start to finish. Technicians went above and beyond to track down a leak in my A/C unit and were just as thorough in replacing the coils when the part came in and making sure the unit was in top condition before leaving. I have been using this company for almost 4 years, we had a variety of different issues with our AC and some upgrades over the years. Our technician is amazing! He always remembers our family, that I sleep late because I work nights, asks about my husbands business, chats about our baby (he's been working with us since before I was pregnant!). He's always well prepared for the small crawl space he needs to sneak into to access the AC and it honestly makes all the difference having someone that remembers your home even when they only come once a year! The only problem I had with this company was the lady who answered the phone could not set up an appointment the first 2 times I called and had to call me back after the second time I called to set up a day. They were up front with their pricing and explained everything to me. I had to have them come and attach a pipe and shut off for the gas line to my stove. They showed up when expected. The two gentlemen who showed up were very polite.They explained things to me as they had to do them. They worked very quickly and they cleaned up after themselves.I would recommend this company to anyone. read more

When we purchased our new home we found a lot of issues with our plumbing and heating. TGM was recommended by a friend and we called them just about weekly for months! Everyone we dealt with was very pleasant and attentive. Helped me learn about my dual zone heating and AC along with my gas fireplace. We had a couple of emergency calls and they came within an hour! The only issue we had is that they are more expensive than some others in the area so we have used others since for smaller issues.
