They had lots of music book options, instruments options and music related home items. When we were talking to the employee she did say they could order us something and ship it to our home for us since we live over an hour away. She did mention however it would be best to email or call them because their website is currently a mess. I did like all the color options they had not only for the ukulele but for the violin too. They had a beautiful sparkly emerald green violin that caught my eye and made me wish I played violin instead of viola growing up. My husband loves music as much as I do so I'm sure we will be back sooner than later. Thanks Simple Sounds for a fun visit.

Conn-Selmer, the parent company of Bach, is working with tubist Chuck Daellenbach of Canadian Brass on a new tuba design that I got a peak at while visiting the factory. The staff is extremely passionate and proud of the products they produce, and are super helpful when it come to picking an instrument. I was here with Canadian Brass choosing an entire arsenal of Bach instruments: C trumpet, Bb trumpet, cornet, Eb trumpet, piccolo, and flugel (I chose a Conn flugel). Bach is famous for their beautiful sounding hand-hammered bells. The quality of every instrument I played was consistently high, yet each had unique qualities that made choosing the right one a true joy. I came away with 6 incredible instruments and a handful of great memories hanging out with the great people at the Bach factory of Conn-Selmer!

They mostly had tools and items I personal didn't need but I did see a small dvd rack while I waited on my husband. He had wanted to come in here because he had seen them featured on a pawn show. The only thing in here besides the dvds I wanted was the violin I saw. There were 2 and my husband and I were debating if one was a viola but we never found out because the lady just smiled at us. Might come back but we'll probably check out the other location before coming back to this one.

Eddie is a great teacher, a mild mannered gentleman and a terrific technician. He taught me the basic 13, then 26 and eventually about 100 rudiments and their variations. I am to this day a very decent drummer with a strong foundation to which I credit Eddie's thorough, fun and interesting style of instruction. He also prepared me for the Indiana State Music contest way back then and I took home a second place medal. Another student of his that year, a much better reader and technician than me, took home the first place medal. I went on to play professionally for years, had a Pearl Drum Endorsement in the early 70's and even did a stint on Broadway, in NYC in the pit orchestra doing 7 Brides for 7 Brothers, starring Debbie Boone, following the national tour. I still play occasionally, at 74, here in Las Vegas, Nevada in a big band. I credit much of my career and ability to the best drum teacher in the business, Mr. Eddie Knight. They are knowledgeable about not only the music they sell, but also about parts for turntables and speakers. The owners and employees are super friendly and engaging, which is what you would expect out of a shop in downtown Goshen. The prices, however. Yeesh. So much of their used vinyl is marked up way higher than it should be. It's become a fun "window shopping" record store for me, but it's very difficult to justify the cost when they are often charging 40-50% more than most other places for vinyl in similar condition.
