She never promoted or pushed anything but answered questions and pointed out challenges we not thought of. AND we aren't newbies. We have had 4 kitchens done in remodels and new custom houses and kind of know the program and what we' need and like and what we value. She was just great. So great we almost turned the planning to her and have a preliminary quote and will likely get a design from her and we hope be able to buy from her. As for work, quality etc I just hope they are as good as her

At first, these guys were fantastic. On time, straight forward, no BS…read more As time went by, more and more "complications" arose none of which seemed to be their doing. Due to inept communication, the slab of granite we had picked out somehow ended up in someone else's kitchen. We had already waited several weeks longer than we were supposed to originally, and now....... We'll add an additional 10 weeks. We had an appointment for their install crew to come and install the counters. That was between 9-10 in the morning. After waiting the entire day with not do much as a phone call, we decided to give up and go eat. As we were leaving, they're install pulled up in front of our home. The two guys got out of the truck and said we're here to install your counters. This was about 6:30 in the p.m. When I asked you to where the hell they had been and why we receive no notification they said that they were in McCall finishing up a job and that they were busy. They figured that we would be around when they showed up and that we wanted to counters installed bad enough that we would like to go ahead and do it. I told them to pack her crap up and get out of there and reschedule, we were done for the day. Finally the day of installation came. After several hours of working on putting the counters in the kitchen, they had left telling us the job was finished. Standing in the kitchen looking down on the countertops I about fell over. Being a contractor I have an eyeball for lines and such, however, one does not need to be a Carpenter to see how bad of a screwup this was. What was supposed to be a 90° angle cut ended up being a 97° angle cut. When we spoke to Big Wood Cabinets they sent the rep out to take a look. Of course she tried to come up with all kinds of roundabout excuses and reasons why it was the way it was the bottom line it was screwed up. He was Going to check in to finding out about having it replaced. After several days of negotiating back-and-forth he asked if we would be willing to except the countertop as it was and reduce the price for doing so. We agreed telling him that we would like at least a 20% reduction on the price of a granite slab that was miss cut and looks well looks terrible. That was agreed. Looking further into it not only was the countertop miss kit for the cabinets were installed just a little bit out of square as you can see in the pictures. These guys are supposed to be professionals?During the installation process of the cabinets, we had noticed flaws in the faces of the drawers and cabinet doors. Some were warped, some had chips taken out of them. Every time we inquired about such we were told to go ahead and wait until the end and we would do a final walk-through and then submit a claim under the warranty for the damage pieces and they would replace those parts. Well 7-8 months past the finish time of the cabinet installation and countertops we still have received no discount on the countertop after paying full price and we have received no parts or pieces to replace those damaged ones or defective ones. When calling Big Wood Cabinets we are told basically to shove it and they weren't going to do anything about it. You can see in the pictures how bad some of the damage was. Would you accept this in your home for all the money they charge? Wells Farfound one of our brand-new kitchen towels watered up underneath one of the cabinets looking like this. Bottom line these guys don't stand behind their word for a damn thing. They are liars and they're cheats. Not the kind of business dealing I would expect from a fellow native Idahoan.

They said my outlet covers would fit back on after the caulk dried. It turned out that PC did not measure correctly in the first place for the backsplash and behind the stove. It took two more weeks before they got it cut down to the right measurements. I went 4 weeks without a kitchen stove, microwave, and 2 weeks without a kitchen sink. I also had to take extra days off then just two, I ended up missing 4 days of work. PC said they do not compromise for my days missed because of some template signature I gave, but I also paid over 4K to have them not do their job right from the beginning. Who knew they would mess it up and not compromise. This company lies, don't care about their customers. Please do not use them unless your will to lose money for their mistakes and lies. P.S. I had to give them at least a one star so this post but if I could I would give them a negative (-) 5 star.

For example: my counters weren't cleaned off for estimator so he turned and left. Wouldn't wait. They call and say I owe 125.00 for his visit. Then 165.00 to unhook stove and sink. Five minutes. Won't rehook. Threatened to leave when they said it wasn't unhooked. Today they came to remeasure backsplash they say is nine feet off originally it included an area now taken off but I owe 125.00 for extra footage. Can't give you a time for backsplash installation. you just live getting dinged and the neverending story of getting dinged. Older women out there beware. This is not a good company. Wish I could relive the whole story walking by the quartz at Home Depot.

Due to the high cost of these options, we contacted Tile Outlet and Granite and received a very reasonable bid to replace the existing shower with tile and glass doors, and add tile a tile surround on the tub. If you're interested in updating your bathroom, pass on those "one-day" shower replacement companies and contact the outstanding people at Tile Outlet and Granite. My contractor picked up 83 boxes which contained 7 tiles, equaling 14 square feet. The total pickup was 996 square feet, not the 1200 listed. This was also evidenced when I ran out of tile. This also happened on a small order where I did the math for what I needed , added 10% for waste and was still 2 boxes short. The receipt does NOT show boxes, so you do not have recourse once you leave the store. Phil is argumentative, and although Marco seems decent, this has not been resolved so this is my PSA. This has cost me over $1500 in materials and trips back to the store for more tile. It was Florida tile so part of the issue is probably with the supplier too. Count the boxes AND the tiles. Sorry guys but that is the truth. Otherwise, good selection and customer service.
