And just as happy when they announced they'd found a new space and were planning to reopen. I have to say, having visited there a few times now, I'm pretty disappointed. The new space is still downtown, but a few blocks west of their previous location. Where parking was free at that spot, it's metered at this one. When I think of all the vacant retail spaces in town, many with parking lots or at least free street parking, it leaves me perplexed. And the new space itself is so incredibly small and disjointed. It's separated into multiple, small rooms. Their inventory is but a shadow of its former self. And the prices have gone up. Wayyyy up. Perhaps most perplexing is the complete lack of classroom space, which they'd gone to so much trouble to add in their own space. Combined all of this with semi-surly, N95'd employees and well... to put it simply...I don't see the appeal in returning here anytime soon. For now, I miss the old Ragfinery and hope they turn things around.

I was asked to leave the store at…read moreclosing, but there were no announcements warning customers that the store would be closing in 5 minutes like many other stores provide. A simple reminder over the intercom would have been helpful and would have prevented the situation. What made the experience worse was the rude customer service from some of the staff, Gabrielle. Instead of treating customers with kindness and respect, I felt rushed and unwelcome. Customer service goes a long way, especially at the end of the day. Unfortunately, the overall experience left a very negative impression, and I hope management addresses both customer service and the lack of closing announcements to improve future customers' experiences.

I was recently in the store looking for a certain fabric for a quilting project. I had recently…read more purchased the fabric at the Fabric Plus and found that I was short by just a couple small pieces which equaled less than a quarter of a yard. They did not have the fabric any longer in the store, but they bent over backwards finding a piece for me so I could complete the project. This kind of customer service Is not found very often anymore and I so would recommend them to anyone looking for fabric. The wife I assume is always a pleasure to talk with, and her husband is quick to get things cut for you so that you are on your way to sewing fun.
