Hit me! 21+! I'd like to double down on this place. This is…read morea small liquor store on the side of the highway. It's not exactly the easiest to get to out here, but it did save some time. We came in here and grabbed some rum. They had free ice in the machine outside, which was an added bonus! Their wine selection seemed to be more of the cheaper stuff. Their liquor selection had all the regular favorites, with some weirder cheaper brands that I hadn't heard off. The beer selection did a good job of showcasing some DFW Metroplex beers, and even had some Austin breweries. There aren't many brewery options in Cumby, Tx, but this store sells plenty of beers from elsewhere. This liquor store seems to be a converted home along the highway. You can see how they just knocked the walls out to build out the liquor showroom retail floor. But the back rooms seem to be in use as storage and office space. The clerks were friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. We grabbed some mixers and the free ice, and were on our way!

The store itself was nice and well stocked but the employees weren't nearly as friendly as in Greenville. With one exception. While 3 young men were filling the ice chest near the check out (and goofing around), Jayden came in from taking out groceries and quickly came to my checkout stand and quickly got to work again. They close at 9:00 p.m. I have eaten the fresh made donuts at Jon's Mini Mart several times now. I have waited a while now, on purpose, to review the donuts. Sometimes when something is new, it takes a while to work out the "kinks". Well the donuts are not all that good. Of all the donut shops in town, Jon's Mini Mart has the worst fresh-made donuts in Sulphur Springs. Honestly, they taste like they have been hurriedly mixed and fried sort of as an after-thought instead of high-end quality donuts that one likes from say a Daylight Donut Shop. This is a nice community store with nice owners run by the family, but I would not drive across town for anything at this store, especially not the donuts.

Well yesterday I made sure to check, and sure enough it was wrong again. I pull back around, and ask if I can change it out for what I had ordered, without looking at what was in the bag the person at the window started arguing with me insisting I had my correct order. Eventually I get what I ordered, and when I look into the bag at the croissant it is the same one I handed over, but they took off the bacon, and eggs to replace it with a cold piece of ham, and cold cheese. I've never made a review on anything good or bad, but after all the headaches I'd like to share with others.

I took a piece off and tried it and it tasted like a glazed donut bit a cinnamon roll. The sausage kolache tasted like it had been sitting in a refrigerator unsealed. Tasted so bad I was unable to eat it. Would not recommend this place.
