Also, this location was my only choice because it's the only branch open Sundays. The collection is entirely on the main floor. When you come in, fiction is mostly to the left and through the center, children's in the back left corner, non-fiction center back, and a huge section for genealogy research in the back right corner. In the front right side and corner is a computer area open to all visitors - it seems like a first come first served situation. There's also an armed police officer who seems to be always on duty here at a desk near the front. It's actually my first time seeing this in a library, and I come from a much larger city. Staff was helpful in getting me signed up. Probably the greatest benefit is in being able to join the Libby app for ebooks and audiobooks. But nothing will beat the brick and mortar library for things like graphic novels and a nice focused place to study.

But this college in the dusty Panhandle town of Lubbock, Texas, ain't so bad as the low rated reviews say. It is NOT a big city. Bigger than most towns within 340 miles or so, but it's still got that small town vibe. My daughters' doctor and many other really good doctors in this vicinity studied and/or graduated from TTU. I have taken family members to Texas Tech health care facilities all over Lubbock. The staff members' compassion and competence have meant the world to me. I didn't attend Tech for a reason. I had the chance, but I didn't want to go to the same damn school as everyone else from my high school. Lol. I also didn't see the point in spending the tons of money since I knew I wouldn't be getting a full scholarship. My uncle graduated from here, though, and played baseball. Wreck 'Em! I have been here for all kinds of events and most recently my two young daughters and I walked across the campus during the day and then later on the night of April 25, 2026. The campus was well-lit in most areas. My daughter who is in seventh grade is already expressing interest in this place to become a vet. She has a while to go, but they are already pushing the college degree plan in her school. We'll see... The Red Raider mascot is one of the most unique in the country. There are traditions here. While my daughters and I remained primarily at the Church Of Christ Green Lawn, we noted how clean and well-maintained the campus was. Academically, LCU offers undergraduate and graduate degrees and has been ranked as a "top 20% best college in America." Their class sizes boast a 12:1 student to professor ratio. The Chapparels boast several men's and women's athletic teams: Baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track & field, and volleyball. Additionally, they have cheerleading. I think I have written like 3 reviews on the Rawls already, but I love this college and I have…read morelearned a lot. I would say to take as many online classes as you can for two reasons. 1. I would say I learned more from the online classes then the in-class​​s classes. 2. They save you so much time because you don't​ have to make it to the class you can do it on your own time. Dr.Giberson, Dr. Hoover, Dr. Stevens, ​and Dr. Lux​ are my favorite​ professors. They have changed my life and I am really grateful​ to have taken their classes. People coming into the Rawls: You can probably coast by and make sold Cs and learn nothing. But if you really want to change your life, listen in all of your classes and invest in your future through the knowledge you can obtain​ through​​ your classes.
