Building an upscale home near Fayetteville, TX and my wife desperately wanted wood plank flooring…read more While I was doing about 90% of the work myself on the construction, I didn't have the equipment or time to install the flooring myself so I contacted these guys and paid them almost $10,000 just for the labor to install and put a clear finish on the floor. WORST DECISION I COULD HAVE MADE! Couldn't get in to check out the final installation since the poly wasn't dry so I couldn't inspect before handing him the final draw payment. (WHICH WAS IMMEDIATELY CASHED!) When I was able to get in, I was disgusted with the final product. SURFACE NAILING THROUGH MULTIPLE AREAS HIGHLY VISIBLE! OPEN CRACKS BETWEEN EDGE AND END JOINTS! I had made it very clear that the polyurethane finish had to completely fill any cracks and that the top had to be smooth because my wife is a quilter and threads would get down in the cracks on the floor. DIDN'T HAPPEN! Find another company to do your job.

Todd Homes built us something we love out in the country, completely different from what they…read morenormally do and tailored to us - it's absolutely perfect!! Todd and Michelle are a great team to work with. They spend quality time with you every step of the way while working within your budget.. I will definitely pick them again when we start doing rental properties in a few years

I was under contract to purchase a rental property from Todd Carnes in College Station. We agreed…read moreto a price and had a signed contract. After three days, Todd called me to tell me that his wife was furious with him for accepting a contract on the property because she thought the price was too low (we offered a fair price and showed them that we offered above the comparable properties on $ / sq ft, $ / room, and gross rent multiple). He acknowledged that his wife was being unreasonable and that he tried to smooth things over with her but there was no reasoning with her. Michelle was so upset that she even returned the option fee to me through Venmo. I explained that I sympathize with his situation, but we had an agreement. The next day we communicate with the listing agent and she asks us to re-submit the option fee through another method so that we can avoid dealing with Michelle. So we submit the fee again through another method that required an additional transaction fee. We also moved forward with the scheduled inspection. The day we signed the contract, I mailed the earnest money check to the title company (as they instructed me to do). Todd went into the title company after the third day and right after we did the inspection and mysteriously the title company claims they haven't received the check yet. So Todd cancelled the contract. He knew that the check was in the mail and would likely arrive later that day, and he also knew when he accepted the second option fee and allowed us to spend $500 on the inspection that he planned to do this. These are not honest people, they will deal in bad faith, and you cannot trust them. If you're looking to build a home or do business with these people in any way, I would strongly advise against it.
