2016 Metallic Grey RDX : paint burns on driver side passenger door due to overly aggressive wet sanding
Full disclosure: I did end up going with a local/small body shop to correct my issue; I wanted to call out the traits that Sam exhibited during our initial meeting.
I scuffed up my car a bit trying to correct a scratch, well that only made the scratch bigger and more obvious. I called Texas Mobile Detail thinking that my issue could be polished/buffed out. Sam returned my call and visited the same day. After looking at my car, he gave a shot at correcting what I had done. After a few minutes, he let me know what was or was not happening. Essentially my issue was a 'paint fix' and not a 'paint correction'. We stopped work at this time and Sam went off to research what he could or could not do to help me out. He stated he would call me back with a report of his finding and a quote. Sam did call me back with a report and a quote. It was obvious he did his research. He also welcomed the fact that I was going to shop this issue around a bit myself. I ultimately went with another shop that had the paint/tools on hand to correct my issue.
- Sam always responded when he said he would
- Sam always shot me straight
- Sam would not accept any money for his initial visit
- It is obvious that Sam enjoys his work
Based on my interactions with Sam, I would not hesitate to hire Texas Mobile Detail for my detailing needs. Honesty/Integrity seems to be in short supply nowadays, it was refreshing to see that Sam has both. read more
