This bar/restaurant offered me a small piece of Austin during my travels. I can say I didn't eat here because I typically avoid American dining while traveling aboard. It's like a barbecue gumbo (but better than that sounds). It's so meaty, and yet the broth itself is this rich liquid which is like the essence of barbecue itself. It came with the best cornbread I've had outside of the United States (although I come from the UK which basically takes the opportunity to mess up cornbread every time I've had it). The pulled pork croquettes were also stand outs, as was just the overall service. Super friendly, and just chatting but in an unobtrusive way. Even though we were completely stuffed, we ordered the banana pudding. This was a very good choice, but I have to say that it's only the second best I've ever had. The first is Magnolia Bakery in New York, so frankly it's still quite the compliment!! Just so good. If I was in Stockholm longer, I'd be tempted to come back.

Along with variations of hamburgers, ribs, chili, nachos, and fajitas .. something for everyone. My absolute favourite dish is the "Texas Chili", it's unbeatable. It's a traditional chili, served with salsa, guacamole, sour cream, black beans and wheat tortilla bread. The "Ugly American" is the only burger I've tried, it's a 220 g hamburger with bacon, served with coleslaw, chipotle drip and fries. You're absolutely stuffed when you've finished your meal. In Sundbyberg the restaurant is newly renovated, they have changed the decor on the walls and repainted, while also adding some tables by the bar. You cannot reserve a table though, but the wait is usually not that bad. It's a small restaurant so choose your seating wisely if you can. We sat right next to the window, which can be nice in the winter time. But in the summer, with the sun blasting in, it was quite unbearable. Since the restaurant is so small, it gets very hot when all the grills are fired up in the back kitchen. I really like that all beer and soda comes in the chilled Texas Longhorn glasses, and that the staff is nice and friendly. Definitely a place to visit, again and again.

Most importantly: the burger. It's perfectly cooked and juicy. You can tell the patties are handmade, and it makes a total difference. The burger includes lettuce, tomato, and caramelized onion. I had a burger with bacon my first time, and really loved it. But honestly, I loved even MORE just the plain burger. Everything tastes amazing together and the slightly toasted but still soft bun was to die for (I'm a huge bread fan, ok). The fries have an exciting concept. I love the fact that you can choose toppings for your fries for free, to heighten the experience. I've tried both the shoestring and the regular fries, and both were perfectly done. They aren't cheap with the toppings, so you don't have to ration them out. The dipping sauces are super tasty as well. I haven't tried them all, but I really love the spicy smoked tomato mayo. My friend actually loved the fries so much she went back 7 hours later before she went back home after visiting me. I'll definitely be a regular at this place!

One a Wednesday evening after work it was just the right amount of people there. Almost full but still possible to find a seat - gives the place a nice atmosphere and the friendly and knowledgeable staff is an additional strength. Beer is of course their main thing and their own beer is of course sold there. I am a fan of it but appreciate the selection of guest beers even more. A lot of small microbreweries represented both on tap and by the bottle. I cannot really fault them for the selection but the pricing is high, perhaps unfair as the price level in Stockholm is high but it annoys me when I had the same beer at their London bar for a third of the price. Was considering to give it a 3 but the quality level deserves a 4. This part of town also really deserves a decent bar so in that way a great addition.
