They have expanded over the years and have clothes and it looks like they took over the old post office and you can get food to eat there. They sell shirts that misidentify the Gulf of Mexico which is sad to a long time resident of the gulf area but the staff was really friendly. A good place to stop to get supplies for a trip to the beach.

On my last trip, Grassy Point delivered my kayak to the water ready to go, and within a few minutes I was headed out to the bay to go fishing. At the ramp I noticed several kayak owners struggling to unload and prep their kayaks for a day of fishing. I simply loaded my gear on the kayak, signed the paperwork and was gone. The lights on the water were excellent, but all I was pulling up on the sabiki were tiny bait fish -- piggy perch, small whiting, you name it. Basically running a daycare for baby fish under those lights. Dropped $20 on croaker and got nothing out of it. Even tried the artificial fish bites, and still just fed the little guys. Didn't see anyone else land anything worth bragging about either. Honestly, just way too many people for not much action.
