They did not close off the street so you had children and strollers mixing with cars. The speed limit is 30mph and thousands of people were in the streets. They had no street-side vendors. After we paid $12 per adult to have the privilege of paying an additional $35 for 7lbs of Crawfish, we purchased $20 in tokens to buy beer and once we got to the beer booth they were out of beer but yet they refused to have any refunds. I would never recommend going to this festival again. I have enjoyed this festival for 15 years in a row, this was my last. I post comments and questions on their Facebook website and they delete anything that is in anyway remotely not positive or is a question or concern. What kind of crawfish festival only has one crawfish vendor? The Texas Crawfish Festival in Old Towne Spring. This WAS my favorite festival. I always look forward to it, now look forward next year finding another one. Waste of money. Check out their Facebook page. It has not one single negative comment that I find. Why? Because they delete anything but glowing positive comments.

The park is not huge and quite compact with grassy lawn areas, walkways and plenty of benches to sit upon. There are events and festivals in most of the months of the year as well as a weekly Farmer's Market every Thursday with vendors selling local produce, fresh farm raised meats as well as baked goods and ethnic type meals such as one vendor who has some really tasty Indian dishes. I was there this weekend for the Fall Arts & Crafts Festival which had vendors of all sorts selling everything from beautiful pottery, custom made wood items, hand made knives and quite a few booths with food items. There is a stage and at most festivals there will be some kind of live music. For this festival the musician was very good and played acoustic guitar and sang song that were nice to hear but not too loud so you couldn't talk to your neighbor. What with fall weather now here you should make a point of going to this lovely park. Town Center is right next to the park and has many shops and restaurants to visit. I brought along my infrared converted camera for some interesting pictures.
