Salesman suggested the installation of an irrigation system around the house…read more The job was very unprofessional and did not work period. After several visits and different employees with different answers I was told that everything is fine and it will take about six months for the soil to be saturated with water. They did not even know how to program or wire properly the controller provided and left without even testing the irrigation. After a charge of almost $5000.00 for $300.00 of parts and 3 hours labor they refused to add a second valve to increase the flow on a section of house. At this point i need to complete the installation myself . My suggestion is they need to stick to dirt work and not something that requires higher IQ upstairs.

I hired Du-West some time ago to put in two root barriers for about $2,800. When I hired them they…read moregave me a card to be sure to give them a review on social media and listed different medias. I was not hat home when they came out for installation since they would never need to be in the house (as they confirmed). When I arrived home from a full day of work, I opened the front door and could smell natural gas (it had filled the whole house). I called the gas company and Du-West - they both showed up to the house. What I found out from Du-West was that while the crew was working, they wanted to turn off the gas line and the project manage said no...so, then the project manager went off to buy lunch for the crew and it was at this time the crew turned the gas off - which then blew out the pilot light to the hot water heater in the attic. When the crew turned the gas back on, natural gas began filling my home. I was told by the gas technician that only a certified plumber or a gas company technician is allowed to turn off the gas. When it came time to light the pilot, no one wanted to do it. I told them whoever turned it off has to turn it back on!!!!! So all of the windows were opened and we waited and they the two reluctantly went into the attic to light the pilot. At first, when I told this story to the Du-West manager about this I could hear the gasp in his voice, then he proceeded to act like it was no big deal - which their opinion is it's no big deal because I'm still alive! He offered me $250 for my "inconvenience" - I told him he should pay for half...he said he would need to speak to someone about it and would get back to me...of course he never did and I was too busy at work to keep fighting this, which is exactly what they wanted. In my opinion, this is such a high level of incompetence and negligence it is unbelievable!! What happened is awful...it endangered my pet, the safety of my neighbors and myself. But what it boils down to is unless someone is hurt or dead it just does matter. Absolutely shameful!

Gave a hour and a 10 min notification of arrival. He walked the exterior and interior of the house. He pointed out possible concerns. Eventually brought in a machine and took multiple measurement throughout the house. He explained what was considered acceptable. He gave me recommendations on how to help my foundation, and what to look out for. He was very relaxed and informative. He wasn't pushy or trying to push me into getting foundation work done. It was a very positive experience.

The inspector, JT, was friendly and clear spoken and took his time going through everything. He used some kind of high-tech equipment to measure our floors and figure out how much our slab was off, then walked us through all his findings in plain English. Turns out we didn't need any major foundation work right now (which was a huge relief!), but JT still gave us some great tips on how to prevent future issues. I really appreciated how honest he was -- no pressure, no upselling, just straightforward advice. It's nice to know there are still honest foundation companies out there that care more about helping people than just making a quick buck. Foundation work is not cheap, but will save your house from further damage if needed. Big thanks to JT and Generocity Foundation!

I found Eric Lonestar Masonry through Yelp. I have to be honest I would not recommend Eric…read more There were few repairs needed to be done which I agreed to pay $950 for. I made sure he understood and saw in-person what was needed and asked him if he still wanted to proceed before work started. Several times after agreeing on the scope of work and payment Eric seemed to want to change what was agreed on. (payment and work) Micro-managing Eric was exhausting. End result was not what I had repeatedly told Eric. I had marked specific broken bricks for him and they did not get replaced. I told Eric to please match the caulking color. I asked him several times if he would have any issues doing any of these things and he repeatedly said he wouldn't. In the end I paid the full $950 for the work done.

He failed to begin the work on time, and when he eventually did, he arrived without the necessary materials. Eric had assured me that he would personally oversee the job and work with his crew; however, there was no crew. Instead, he sent his elderly parents, who worked for only a couple of days before they all left for Mexico without any notice. Throughout the process, Eric consistently failed to show up at the times he committed to. What was originally estimated to be a 4-5 day project ended up dragging on for over a month. During that time, I had to contact Eric repeatedly--at least five to six times--to remind him that the work was still incomplete. Despite the lack of progress, he persistently pressured me for payment. Eventually, out of sheer frustration, I paid him in full, even though the job had not been completed. To make matters worse, the work site was left in a mess. My yard was cluttered with debris, and there was no proper cleanup effort. The entire job was handled in an extremely unprofessional manner and fell far short of basic expectations for quality and accountability. Mumtaz Jesani
