I am 77 years old..never had to hire an ambulance in my life....my wife fell on Valentines day (2020) and was sent to the emergency room..long story short...surgery and ten days later she is moved to a rehab facility...they decided after 4 days that she would do better with a therapist at home..but she cannot ride in a car just yet...we have all heard these horror stories about private ambulances...well, disregard those and call these guys...Sam took my assignment ..had the unit there right on time and then got my wife safely home and into her bed...very professional...very clean and knew exactly what to do..you cannot go wrong with this group...God bless folks like these who do this kind of work... read more

Paul Harvey (deceased legendary master storyteller on radio) TROTS out to do this guest review for me. "You KNOW what the news is ... in a minute, you're going to hear the REST of the story." (commercial minute: The Methodist Hospital in Sugar Land is very good. ) A relatively young man dressed in a jumpsuit, driving an ordinary van, saw that we needed help getting a woman in pain out of our van, and offered his help for free. He did an excellent job. He gave us his card in case we ever needed his services in the future. After his exceptional help, we were quite surprised at what was written on his business card. And, now .......... The Rest Of The Story (TROTS) ... M is in severe pain and needs to get to the hospital for diagnosis. We struggle to get her out her wheelchair and into our van, but she cannot move (pain and meds) and screams and suffers as we put her in the car. As we drive, getting her out at the hospital is weighing on our minds. At the hospital, and about to drive away in his van, but seeing that we needed help getting a near-90-yr-old woman on meds out of our van, a man offered to lift her and put her into a wheelchair. He was younger, bigger and stronger than me, as well as a licensed EMT. M was screaming in pain when we had tried to get her out of the van. So we gladly accepted his offer to help. He did a perfect job, without any cries of pain from the suffering patient. He was super nice, too. We were impressed and grateful. Later, after the hospital tests, we decided to use his company's transport service to get her home. It was short notice, but the nice man arranged for a transport to arrive in 15 minutes. That too, was an excellent, on-time, friendly, painless and professional event by a strong young lass. The next day, the severe pain led to emergency transport to a hospital in TMC where she was diagnosed as having spinal disc rupture and a fractured disc. Surgery was the only solution to relieve the pain. ... Oh.... And what was written on the nice stranger's business card? ... "CEO" We thought Texas Critical Care was a small company, because neither we nor the staff at the hospital had ever heard about them. Later, we found out they are much bigger, with a fleet of vehicles. After we told our story to the hospital staff, copies of his business card have been passed around the hospital in case of similar transport needs for customers. Clearly, a CEO did not need to offer help for free. After all, they have "more important" things to do, don't they? But, I think I understand how he rose from an EMT to CEO. I was driving down highway 90, when I started having problems breathing as I stepped out the car a couple waived down Texas Critical care ambulance, The ambulance came to a stop and two medics got out of the ambulance and started helping me immediately, they assisted me onto a stretcher then they loaded me into the ambulance and started taking my vitals supplementing me oxygen as they were asking me questions, they asked me if I wanted to go to the hospital and I refused since I started to feel better. They recommended that I go see my physician to get checked out. I just wanted to thank the two gentleman that assisted me as it was a pretty scary situation and they were as nice and professional as could possibly be, again thank yall so much! read more

My wife and I were at a concert at The Smart Financial Center on 07/29. We were in the upper deck when my wife passed out. She was having heart issues at the time. TCC was there in minutes and checked my wife out, helped her down the many stairs to their cart and delivered her to Methodist Sugarland. They were very professional and calming. This review is well overdue, but I can't say thank you enough to the wonderful crew at Texas Critical Care. Al, James, Chris, Lehia, Melvin, Rebecca, and Derek are angels who helped us through a most trying time with our 79 year old mother. After she was released from a LTACH center, she was brought home by this great team of people. My mother was in fair condition when she came home in that she was incredibly weak, frail, and unable to walk on her own following a cardiac event and beginning dialysis. She was very skeptical for her future because she was not looking forward to having to make trips to and from doctors and dialysis as a part of her ongoing recovery. To this day, we believe the guys and ladies who came for her from TCC were essential in her recovery in that they interacted with her, encouraged her, joked with her, and cared for her on those rides to and from. And Al, well, let's just say he was the lead angel in that he patiently worked with us to make sure her needs were taken care of. During the process of working with TCC, my mother received tips on how to increase her strength (even though she had physical therapy) which helped because she had someone else besides her daughters to encourage her to get stronger. In the course of the team transporting her to her destinations, she became stronger and was able to walk with the aid of walkers and a rollator and she was able to get in and out of a car. Today, she is not only walking, she is cooking, going to the occasional store, and is able to take care of herself. It was a bittersweet day when we decided to stop service with TCC because they are such a great group of compassionate and competent people! We still see some members of the team every now and then and it's a treat to be able to catch up with them. Thank you Al and everyone for all that you did to help make our lives a little less hectic during a very stressful and difficult time! God Bless! read more
