There have not been many recent reviews for this Texaco gas station in the CP on the corner of New Hope and Lakeline, so here is mine. I have been frequenting this location for over six years, because it is very convenient for me to purchase lottery tickets (don't judge me) and buy beer, wine, and snacks when I don't want to travel to a big-box store. Yes, the prices are a tad higher, but I will pay a few extra bucks for convenience and time saved. They do have an excellent selection of brews, wines, and hard seltzers. If you are a vaper, they have many, many options for you. As a bonus, there is a taqueria on site. I have not tried their fare, but they are always busy, and the made-to-order tacos look and smell delicious. Note, they are only open for lunch. Regarding customer service, the guys at the counter always greet me with a friendly hello or high boss and they get me in and out quickly, which I appreciate.

We were greeted by a bunch of friendly people that were working at the checkout registers. They have a whole bunch of merchandise you can look at or purchase, a lot of food options, snacks, a variety of fountain drink flavors to choose from, coffees, Icee flavors and so much more. They have clean bathrooms with a lot of stalls, that are stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, and soap. During this trip my husband got a pineapple flavored fizzy drink. He said he can't find anything like it anywhere else. I tried it and it was super sweet. I purchased a large rice crispy treat that they sold by the register at the checkout. It lasted me a few days and was delicious. On a side note we did visit in the late afternoon after 7:00 pm so we didn't really have to deal with overcrowding but there was still quite a few people there. Overall Buc-ee's was a good stopping place to walk around and browse or buy items. They have very friendly people working there and it's a good place to take a bathroom break during a road trip.

So many things happening in this place - people making fudge, candied nuts, all kinds of jerkee; a huge BBQ station where employees shout out every time they either make or sell a sandwich? All kinds of fun merchandise - from clothes to shoes, to toys - a full gift shoppe. Employees are amazing - engaged, kind, energetic - definitely seem to care about what they do. Management salaries are posted out front for hiring purposes - pay is real high which is great, but even better, seems like those managers are doing a great job leading employees for that $$$ So, if you ever see a Buc-ee's I recommend you go in and see it - it's pretty hard to explain but it is quite something.

At some point with family, friends, colleagues most people have probably heard of this place when Texas is part of the conversation. Essentially it's a gas station with a huge store inside. Now I have to hand it to these guys, as the inside is essentially hot food, soda fountains, sweets, you name it for quick bites, that makes up about 30% of the store. Then you've got just insane amounts of Buc-ee's tourist itemsz. Pretty much almost anything you can think of they've got. We picked up a stuffed animal for my kid, some snacks, & some hot food that wasn't half bad. Pulled pork sandwich was pretty good as was the Mac n cheese. I definitely think people visiting Texas should stop into one of these while in town, lots to look through.

There are fresh donuts and related pastries in the morning, which are discounted at night. Like other convenience stores you can find candy and generic sundries and groceries. I've just come in for the drinks. The fountain drinks have the right carbonation. I also like that they offer coffee on tap; it's unique. Both the cold brews are tasty, as well as the hot coffee offerings. And, if you want to sweeten your coffee, they tend to have 6-10 flavored creamers available for this use. And of course, they have the good personal service other convenience stores don't. You are greeted and thanked. They also have a full coffee bar on tap that offers a variety of flavors along with a creamer station, they have a frozen drinks slushie station, and a full kitchen offering pizzas, subs, tacos and more. I guess you can say I've been sheltered because I was amazed to see all of this. And to make it even better, the prices are reasonable and not marked up like other gas station prices. I have yet to try any of these items, only gas, but the customer service was great and the place was clean!
