There are signs that provide information of the area. This view became well known due to the famous photographer, Ansel Adam's, that has a popular photograph of Snake River with the Teton mountains in the mountains. You can take pictures of this place at sunset or sunrise for even better views. All of Grand Teton National Park is so picturesque and this stop is no different.

Also, the sheriff who tracked them down to Cunningham's cabin, in a move that ended in the deadly gun fight. But more than that, it's easy to see how the rugged rancher life, subject to the whims of seasonal rains and draughts would, in the end, capitulate to the settlement with the Rockefeller land deal that lead to the establishment of the national park.

When the legislature formed Caribou County on February 11, 1919, Bannock County retained the Gem, Gentile Valley, and Upper Portneuf valleys. The courthouse itself is a Classical Revival and is a little boring. I walked the hallways a little and it's not much but then I'm thinking of it in comparison to other county courthouses. For Idaho, it's great. This is a two-story building on a raised basement. It was built in 1919 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.
