A very unique stop on the way to Port Arthur.
From the designated car park, first take a look down to see the full breadth of the pavement created by nature. Silt turned into siltstone over millions of years and as the earth relieved its stress the resulting cracks created the pavement like look. Salt water eroded the siltstone and created the two styles of the pavement (pan and loaf).
Walking on the pavement and seeing this up close was quite the site to see.
Worth the stop when driving through EagleNeck on the way to the Port Arthur Historic Site. read more
