When you enter the car wash, you are greeted by 2 friendly staff members and are handed a dash wipe towel + air freshener. They look like they are enjoying their time as well! The staff always have a smile on their face and are happy to be there (If you see happy workers at any establishment.. something may be going right/good!). The car wash itself takes about 3-4 minutes to go through and they have vacuums located on the left side of the area. With water restrictions on west Maui I can't wash my truck at home and I can't take it through a regular car wash so this is the only option on island for me currently until I can wash my truck at home again. It is easy to find, easy to enter and easy to use, I chose the credit card option which is waaaay easier than quarters, but they have a change machine if you need it. It is basic but it works, although the wash heads are worn through and useless and not much soap came out, so I might take my own soap and wash glove next time which will also eliminate any scratching. Take microfiber cloths to dry your vehicle down, but make sure you move into the vacuum area to do this and allow the person behind you to wash their vehicle. I didn't use the vacuum but folks were using them and seemed intent on doing a good job so they must work well. I went on a Saturday morning and it was busy, but I was lucky I didn't have to wait, there was a queue behind me once I was in. I didn't need help so not sure if there is anyone in person to do so. There were a LOT of unhoused individuals around, no problem, but I don't think I would feel comfortable if I was washing my car in the dark on my own. Overall a great place and I will be back while water restrictions are ongoing.

Now it has changed you can wipe your car after. They took away the two guys that was wiping the car after the air blower but they did not put back the extra air blow dryer they had before putting the two guys there to wipe. Young ones won't know what the hell that means, so Google it! They even have a repair garage that always looks busy. No convenience store though. While I don't come here for gas, I was forced here for the HI-5 recycling redemption service, ran by Aloha Recycling. I usually patronize the location next to UHMC but their redemption center has been closed for several weeks already due to staffing, but you can still drop off recyclables there. Tucked in between the gas station and car wash is the small, dirty and bustling operation. Grab one of the netted carts, dump your separated goods in them and wheel it to the attendant. They'll print out a receipt which you take to the gas station's window cashier who'll disperse your money. OVERALL: Do your part and recycle!
