Wanted a lite meal before going to the local museum. I really wanted the yuca fries, but they were served with pork rinds or fish. Both sides did not appeal and I saw their loco fries were with beef strips so I asked for a subscription and asked for yuca with beef. The waiter checked and said yes. The dish turned out delicious. Such a great place! In town for a girls trip and we stopped by for dinner. Food and drinks were amazing. The service was terrific. Our server was so friendly and helpful with the menu which was new to us. Have never tried Mexican-Salvadoran fare and it was so good and had unique options. You have to try the Pupusas! We were checked on by our server and other staff throughout our meal. They were so kind and made the experience one to remember. Thank you! Great lunch spot! They have a great selection of lunch specials that the price can't be beat. Very clean establishment with a very friendly and accommodating waitstaff. The owner greeted us at the door, and made sure we were well taken care of. The menu consists of a nice selection of both Mexican and Salvadoran food options, which don't disappoint. The service was not good, the waiter was extremely unfriendly. He never asked if we wanted a refill. Our food was cold and took over an hour. The margarita we bought not flavored to the point we didn't drink it. When we finally got our food, they didn't bother big it out all at one time. Half our party got their food and we had to ask for the other half of the party. Do not recommend this place. Worst Mexican restaurant I have ever attended. We really enjoyed the food! The salsa was especially yummy, with a little bite to it. My friends tried the hot and said it just kept getting hotter the longer you wait. We had all the specials and the servings were big which was nice. Probably not big enough to share but definitely take some home. The margaritas on the rocks were awesome and a great price. For once a restaurant that puts some tequila in the drink! I'm giving four stars because I want people to try this place! It's really good. However, some suggestions to work on... wine, they only have Stella Rosa red and a white. It's really sweet, so maybe try a box wine so there is a better variety, longer shelf life and same price range as Stella. It took a while for our food to come out, but we did have a large party of 8. Long wait was worth it though because we enjoyed the food. Lastly, our tickets were hard to read, the ink on calculator was weak, so we really couldn't tell if our tickets were right. read more

Husband had chicken enchiladas (w rice & beans) and I tried 1 soft carnitas taco& 1 crunchy beef taco (w rice and beans). Husband said chicken enchiladas were just mediocre. Let's face it, the last thing Springdale needs at the moment is another Mexican restaurant. So what sets this restaurant apart from all of the others in Springdale? This restaurant offers a wide variety of Salvadoreno food in addition to Mexicano food. If you haven't experienced Salvadorean cuisine you're in for a treat. Try the pupusa revuelta or the tamale Salvadoreno. They also have excellent pastelitas and a good variety of cervesas, (full bar), as well as very refreshing horchata. They have great lunch specials and the staff and patrons are friendly. Plus, the bar is lively at night. For as long as I can remember this building housed Jake's Gill. I'm not sure when Jake's closed, but it's a shame the sign didn't survive to be re-purposed for Tesora Beach. It was a classic. read more
