This high output charger hit us with 252 kW! We have been to other chargers in West Texas that promised 250 kW max but failed to deliver on that promise. This one hummed and had us charged in relatively short order. There is not much nearby this particular charging stop but these high output chargers do not allow for a lot of dilly dally which is nice if you have somewhere to be! Yay! read more

The only thing here is the Hampton Inn. Not my favorite place to have to charge for over an hour, but at least I was able to crawl in the back and nap. I had to move my Tesla from 1A. Was looking to use the restroom and the Hampton Inn Manager was hostile and told me I was not welcome in the lobby. I heard him say he was going to "shut this down" and then he and another staff person moved their cars sideways in front of the remaining stations (I was already plugged in on the end) to barricade them from use. I hope no one after I left was left stranded in Van Horn with out a way to get down the road. read more

Tried charging at 5 different stalls and was only able to get between 88 and 104 kW charging rate. Has a small grocery store next to it. But you can't use thier bathrooms. I liked the old Van Horn charging location better. read more

While this supercharger is located in the Hampton Inn's parking lot, I initially thought I wouldn't be able to utilize any facilities while charging. Frank from the Hampton Inn was very accommodating. I was able to use the restroom and was also offered complimentary coffee. Very friendly hotel staff for folks not intending purchase a room. Be warned that these chargers are at a Hampton Inn and they refuse to let Tesla owners use the restroom. I got the impression from the guy at the desk that they really wish these chargers were never here. Tesla should really move them somewhere next to food and restrooms. read more

This is only near a Hampton inn, which is not ideal for a real rest stop. No public restroom, no buying food, nothing. We walked over to the McDonald's and gas station but that was horrible as it was blocked by barbed wire and we had to wriggle through a fence to walk safely on the street. The hotel is rude and refuses services. It's the only charger within two hours each way.

They do not let you use the restrooms at the Hampton Inn these chargers are located at. We had to walk to the gas station in the hot sun with our 2 kids. We drove from central Texas all the way to California and this is by far the worse charging location of all of them. They should be moved so the Hampton Inn doesn't receive any compensation when they provide absolutely nothing. I would give zero stars if I could. read more
