The downside is that this supercharger must be of an older vintage because the output was lower than many others we have encountered on our drives. The charge we got today was 65kW and 229 mi/hr. It gets you there but just takes a while to boost the battery up to a point where a longer drive to the next destination is possible.

First off, it's always a crap shoot on if half the charging stations will be broken. We have seen them saying they are broken on the screen, or we find out the pump is broken because someone broke a piece off. We have called the number on the app like it says to do, but all they say is that yes, they have recorded that it's down, and will get someone out to fix it. But weeks/months go by with no fix for that pump. It has been down to only two working chargers at one point! So WHEN the majority of the chargers aren't broken, this is a nice Electrify America station.

This is one of two Electrify America charging stations in the Omaha/Council Bluffs metro area, and…read moreit's the lesser quality of the two options, in my opinion, but will do in a pinch for sure. The other Electrify America station is at the Target on 180th and Center, and that one is bright and lit with green light so is very easy to find. This Walmart/Council Bluffs station is not lit and is a little harder to find. This station had fewer spots overall, and a few of them were out of order when we came. It is also not as fast a charging style, so will take a little longer to get a full charge. You also have to pull your car in a weird way, because they're not a like other chargers you back into, but more like a gas station that you pull up to on the side/at an angle. I prefer the back-in version a lot better. So this Electrify America location has its positives and drawbacks, but as I said, if you're in the area and need to charge up, it will definitely be good in a pinch, just without all the bells and whistles of the newer stations.

I like that they offer items from local businesses such as Lola (for baked goods), Grove (juices) and Fermented Felon kombucha. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Windows are huge with a great view of the river. They serve a good iced tea, which can be not so good at other places. Also a nice hot drink selection. I like to go for a walk across the river, then come here and relax with a brownie or a slice of sweet potato cake. There is an entry fee to the museum if you want to go...or you can just meander over to the gift shop for free. It's a really good gift shop, if you are a nerd like me.

Cap this visit off with a stop at The Kringleman Pastry Shop two blocks north, and you'll fully immerse yourself in Danish culture.

Beside the windmill, the grounds include a Danish Viking smithy and home along with historic Viking information and milling information. There is also a tiny church moved here after being donated by the builders family. Models of Danish homes created by a man in MA who based them on the Danish village his grandparents lived in are on display behind the building in a small fenced area. A bust to Hans Christian Andersen is in their lovely garden area and picnic tables are under the trees near the Viking home. Community bulletin boards are near their private dirt parking lot. The gift shop has so many treasures! Be sure to sign the guest book. At the time of this review, tariffs on goods imported from Europe have increased some prices, but there are plenty of Danish kitchen items, holiday decor, candles, mugs, wonderful toys, candy, mead, glassware and on and on. Definitely plan time to wander around. Purchases support mill upkeep and restoration. The gift shop also serves as an Iowa tourist information point where you will find brochures of other Iowa sights. Very clean restrooms at the back of the gift shop. Based on the name, I imagined a cozy, relaxing atmosphere with comfortable lounge seating. Instead, the décor felt a bit mismatched, almost like the café had expanded over time and the two sides were decorated very differently. That said, one thing they absolutely got right was the amount of seating. There were plenty of tables and space to work, study, or catch up with a friend without feeling crowded. The biggest downside was the cleanliness. The bathroom didn't feel clean, there were stains on the floors, chipped paint and damaged walls, crumbs around the couches and on some of the chairs, and the dish return bins were noticeably dirty inside. I stayed for about 90 minutes, and during that time I didn't see any cleaning happening, even though there were several areas that clearly needed attention. None of these issues alone would have been a dealbreaker, but together they made the café feel neglected and took away from what otherwise could have been a much more enjoyable experience.

I felt horrible for the poor access to the vehicle and worried that the vehicle would not be able to be towed until after hours when the parking lot was less congested. Brandon Towing arrived quickly, was professional as well as understanding, and managed to tow the vehicle! So appreciative of every aspect of the service call!
