Gustine, Ca. Charging speed is just ok. The location for the range of my car was spot on. Located behind Anderson Split Pea Soup, which has become a bit of a fossilized relic. The chargers are located behind the loading dock, trash area, and grease vats of the restaurant. Kind of yucky, as well as all the empty cat food tins left about for the feral cats, who were, admittedly, kind of cute. Aside from Anderson's, there is nothing here, it might be better to use the chargers on the west side of the 5, but I'm not at all certain of this. read more

What's up: Pea Soup! Who wants some pea soup?! Me, not really, I'm more of a Clam Chowder kind of gal, but this was a stop for us to charge up our car. So I guess, the car ate here instead of us :) Parking: There are 12 back-in charging stations and they are located towards the back of the parking lot, on the west side of the building. Environment: This charging location was convenient since it's located right off the 5 FWY. There's not too much to do nearby other than browsing around Pea Soup Andersen's. It's easily recognizable off the freeway with its unique windmill building. Restrooms are accessible and can be found towards the right of the building shortly after entering. They have a lot of items and souvenirs that you can purchase; it has a super touristy feel. Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. Convenient charging location and a place to kill time while the car charges up. Maybe grab some pea soup or a Danish pastry while you're at it! read more

I'm rating this four stars for the location. It was okay speed but I've been to faster. You can walk into the pea soup place and go to the bathroom it's to the right, immediately when you walk inside. The charger is a little bit weird because there's a dip when you pull in. If you stop here you'll understand what I mean. It was convenient though for a long drive on 5. Considering many many chargers I've seen on 5, this one is nice for the surrounding food etc. read more

This station supplied an ample number of superchargers. We chose one that was out-of-order, but there was no note on the station nor on our screen indicating it was out of order. If you are there during the working-hour day you will be happy to find many restaurants and stores a short walk away. BUT BEWARE IF YOU USE THIS 24 HOUR STATION AFTER HOURS. THERE IS NO BATHROOM FACICLTY. You will find the chargers in a dusty, dark back lot of the main street behind Andersen's Pea soup. read more

The location is around the back, between the back of the restaurant and some motel/hotel rooms. Not the most convenient place, but good for a quick charge and a pit stop. Charging speeds are decent here, and if you don't like Pea Soup Andersen's you can walk to Wendy's. The chargers are behind the restaurant with little foot traffic so it didn't feel the safest place at night with no other cars charging. On the plus side is charging at night, there's an interesting gang of cats living/meeting up underneath the dilapidated Pea Soup van which may keep you entertained while charging. Walk up to the restaurant and there is an entrance on the right. There is a gift shop and restrooms are there as well. read more

Just behind Anderson's Split pea soup are the hidden Superchargers. It's a bit of a walk to other fast food places. You will have to Yelp to see what's around. The parking lot with feral cats is a little unkempt however the restrooms at Anderson's were ok. Walk around, stretch your legs and get some steps in. We charged up and headed on out on our Tesla road trip journey! Peace. read more

If you're charging midday, you might be better off stopping earlier in Patterson (heading south) or Firebaugh (heading north). Both of those charging stations have a fast kWH. This charger is one of the first stations and it can be slow at times. Especially when it's packed. It does have the convenience of being next to Pea Soup Anderson's for the bathroom, but there are other faster, more plentiful stall charging locations. We got in at 1145 and the speed of charge was abysmal. Ended up charging enough to get us to Patterson where we were able to charge up much quicker. read more

At the Anderson gift shop, you can't even buy anything at the gift shop because the one cashier is so insanely slow the comically long line of solo folks holding one bag of nuts each, we turned and left. read more

This is a great Tesla supercharging station to stop at on your trip. They have 12 stations right next to Pea Soup Anderson's for a bathroom break and some food - even a bar with TVs! We have been coming to this station for years and it's never been full, including weekends. Usually we are the only car there. Today, there are 5 cars on a Sunday afternooon. Drove pass this place on the freeway late at night and trying to figure out whether we should get off to go charge our car here or keep going. We ended up passing this and headed one stop further to Patterson's 250kw Supercharger. Seeing the lights from freeway, it seems like a pretty developed area with lots of gas stations around. I did noticed a lot of big trucks would rest here. read more

This Tesla station is difficult to locate and has few services. Therefore, I do not recommend it. After some driving around we found it behind Anderson's restaurant. The location itself is poor as it on the back side of the restaurant in a trashy part of the parking lot. I especially would not recommend it at night as it is dark and has poor visibility. A large clan of feral cats live under the restaurant's broken down food van that was nearby sitting on concrete blocks. There other cars nearby that appeared abandoned. The closest food is Anderson's restaurant (known for its split pea soup). The restaurant had a long line for seating but there is a small bakery bar to buy snacks. Restrooms there are not clean. No other restaurants are within site other than one across Highway 31. There are about 10 chargers that were built into existing parking spaces. read more

Excellent supercharger location at the infamous Andersen's Pea Soup restaurant located off of Interstate 5. Great lighting in the parking lot behind the restaurant. After hours could be a bit inconvenient with the nearest restroom being across the street at the gas station, but during restaurant hours, you can't beat it. When you first enter Andersen's, you will be in the gift shop, with the restrooms the the right. Or proceed to the podium and ask for a table for some excellent Split Pea soup. The reason I am giving this location five stars, is because the attendant, Youbert Murad (working through an independent valet company) did an excellent job of keeping the cars in order, providing timing information, and generally quelling the angry mob.
