Easy to find and convenient as there are a few spots to grab a bite to eat while waiting. Went two times while on vacation in the morning and before 10am there was no issue finding a space.

However it needs a trash bin. Trash thrown all over the roadway. Order a small dumpster!

I chose to self-park while there and the garage is a little bit of a walk from the entry. Upon entering it's beautiful to see the waterfall straight ahead, with beautiful marble and fixtures throughout. Checking in was easy and great. I was fortunate to get there before the large crowds, as when I walked in, there were plenty of staff available to check me in and there were no guests. About an hour later I walked through there and there were about 100 people in line waiting to check-in. The lady who checked me in was perfect! Friendly, professional, recognized my status, and gave me good info about the property, while promptly checking me in. Once I got to my room I was immediately satisfied with the décor and cleanliness. It's common that the Marriott properties I stay in have moldy caulking in the shower area, nasty, stained carpeting, and furniture that's stained, broken, dirty, and unappealing - But not here! This room was very nicely set up and maintained too. The bed was comfy and they also offered Pluto as one of their internet TV/streaming services - This has been very important to me over the past couple of years, I'm so used to it that I hate properties that don't offer it. The property itself was great. Service by all the staff was great. The entire place was well-maintained and you never have to leave or go outside; in fact, we didn't leave for the first day and a half! It's probably the best Gaylord I've stayed in so far, definitely better than National Harbor! It's also a mile from Disney World!!

Absolutely terrible experience at Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center. As a Marriott Titanium…read moreElite member who spends well over $20,000 a year with Marriott properties, this stay has been beyond unacceptable from the moment we arrived today, and the worst part is we're supposed to be here for FOUR MORE DAYS. We were GUARANTEED a 12 PM check-in through Marriott chat support. We arrived expecting our room to be ready, only to be told it wouldn't be available until 4 PM. We literally sat around the resort for FOUR HOURS waiting with our exhausted 2-year-old toddler, who desperately needed a nap. It completely ruined the start of our trip and turned the afternoon into a nightmare. Then after finally getting our room at 4 PM, the room keys didn't even work. Had to drag everything back downstairs and wait again just to get functioning keys. To make matters even worse, we booked one of their deluxe suites, one of the most expensive room categories in the hotel, only to discover it is directly wrapped around the elevator shaft. Every few seconds it sounds like a bomb or freight train going off as the elevators constantly move up and down. It is unbelievably loud. I honestly cannot believe these are considered "premium" rooms. This should be the CHEAPEST room category in the entire property. When we complained, staff casually told us that ALL of the suites are apparently positioned around elevators "because that's how they get the extra room." Completely insane design. Who wants to spend thousands of dollars to listen to elevator machinery nonstop? Their solution? Downgrade us from an expensive suite into a much smaller room "complimentary." So basically pay premium pricing just to end up in a standard room because the suite is unlivable. On top of everything, the entire resort was packed like an absolute madhouse. Long waits everywhere, chaotic atmosphere, zero relaxation. This place feels more like a crowded convention terminal than a luxury resort. Between the failed check-in guarantee, terrible customer service, noisy rooms, key issues, and overall chaos, this has already been one of the worst hotel experiences we've had in years, and we literally just checked in today. I would never stay at another Gaylord property again.

There's also a Cars section, though I missed getting photos there. The Art of Animation is a budget resort, and the Little Mermaid rooms are the most cost-effective. Honestly, the theming is incredible, it feels like a classic motel that's been completely transformed showcasing animated Disney movie moments. While the rooms are standard-sized (complete with that handy bathroom privacy curtain), the decor elevates the whole experience. The Highlights: Convenience: The bus system and Skyliner made getting around a breeze! Food & Shopping: The on-site dining was hit or miss but was ultra convienient and had lots of options (I also reviewed that seperately). I loved browsing the lobby gift shop which had a lot of options. Proactive Service: They left a maintenance/cleaning schedule so we knew exactly when to expect housekeeping, which was a great thing to be aware of. The One Quirk: The motion-activated bathroom fan. It's cool in theory, but it shuts off too early when you actually need the room aired out! Overall, it was exactly what I wanted. I'd definitely stay here again! I wish Disneyland would also get budget resorts like this.
