We loving coming to disney springs and this time was no different ! There were almost 30 of us and…read morewe really enjoyed a fun night of laughter , good food, shopping and the Toy Story 5 movie ! Perks of having a ex executive of disney in your family as VIP treatment was truly white glove. If you want to enjoy a nice evening solo, with your partner or family , come in the evenings as Florida summers are Brutal! Over 100 degrees and humidity is not for the weak , elderly or babies.

We came here with the family to walk around, check out the stores, and explore the restaurants…read more It's a fun place to spend some time, especially if you enjoy browsing Disney-themed shops and attractions. One suggestion: because it can get extremely hot, it would be great if they added more misters or cooling areas throughout the Springs. There isn't a lot of shade, so walking around outside can be a challenge unless you duck into the stores or restaurants for a break. The free parking is definitely a plus. You do have to go through a security screening before entering Disney Springs, but it was a smooth process and completely understandable. Just be prepared--it's very easy to spend a few dollars here! Between the Disney merchandise, treats, and unique shops, there are plenty of tempting things to see. Overall, it's a fun place to visit, especially with family, and a great way to enjoy some Disney magic without needing a park ticket. I'm sure some day they will end up charging for this area, but I hope not.

Went to the Wave Hotel bar for some drinks with friends after work…read more I got a Cosmopolitan and it was about $22. The drinks are pricey here but they are not bad at all. All of my friends liked all of their drinks, which we had multiple and shared! Parking was super easy and free. No need to worry about a gate or anything like that. Service was fine! We hung out in the sculpture garden as the bar area was a little loud for the conversations we were having.

When looking for a hotel in Orlando, I specifically wanted to stay away from the theme park area…read more In my experience, many hotels near theme parks have nice lobbies, but once you get to the rooms, they're often worn down from the constant stream of guests and heavy foot traffic. There are always tons of families and kids coming through, and it shows. I personally don't care how nice the lobby looks because you're paying to be in the room. This hotel ended up being a good alternative. It's about 30 minutes from most of the theme parks and the convention center, but I didn't mind the drive. The area is much quieter, and the views are actually really nice. There's a lake, lots of greenery, and even cows nearby, which was a nice change from the typical Orlando tourist scene. Pros * Beautiful property with nice views and a much more relaxing atmosphere than the theme park area. * Modern, clean, and well-maintained. * Several great restaurants on-site, including Michelin-recognized options. * Easy check-in process. * The room was clean and updated. I didn't have any cleanliness issues during my stay, which is more than I can say for a lot of hotels these days. * Free parking. * Comfortable bed. * The AC worked really well. The room stayed cold the entire time, which was a huge plus in Florida. * Electronic blackout blinds and window film do a great job blocking out sunlight. * In-room iPad makes it easy to communicate with guest services. * Although I'm usually not a fan of carpet in hotel rooms, this carpet appeared clean and was in good condition. Cons * The airport is nearby, so planes fly overhead pretty frequently. It didn't bother me much because I sleep with earplugs, but if you're sensitive to noise or are a light sleeper, it's definitely something to consider. You'll notice the planes throughout the day and into the evening. * The location is a little removed from everything. That's part of what makes it peaceful, but it also means you'll be driving if you want to go anywhere. * The pillows could have been firmer. * One of the charging stations in the room didn't work, and my phone didn't charge overnight. Thankfully, I had a backup charger. * The motion-sensor lights sounded great in theory but were annoying at night. Every time I got up to use the restroom, lights would turn on automatically. As a light sleeper, I found it difficult to fall back asleep afterward. * My biggest complaint was the electronic toilet. At first, I thought it was a cool feature, but throughout the night it would randomly run cleaning and reset cycles that made noise. If you're a heavy sleeper, you probably won't care. If you're a light sleeper, it can get annoying pretty quickly. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would choose this hotel again over most of the hotels near the theme parks. It's clean, modern, quieter than staying in the tourist areas, and the property itself is beautiful. Just be aware of the airport noise and some of the overly complicated technology in the rooms.
